"Outstanding historical hotel. A must see even if you aren’t staying in the hotel, the historic lobby is so unique. One of the best breakfasts in the city, but don’t limit yourself to the hotel breakfast only since there are so many wonderful breakfast, lunch and dinner places around. The hotel staff were efficient and polite and just very professional. Loved our stay and strongly recommend over some of the more modern hotels if you want to experience Istanbul culture and history. "Fantastic staff. Great hospitality. Their breakfast was excellent. Located in a historic neighborhood. 6 to 8 minute walk to the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar. Lots of dinning and shopping options around. We were in Istanbul for just 3 days and couldn't have asked for a better location for a short trip."

"The room was very comfortable and clean. The area was quiet. However, this hotel was a lot further from the airport than stated. The distance from the airport needs to be verified. It was a 15 minute ride. I paid 40 euros round trip. I think that this was too much. I do not understand why this did not include the driver's tip. Also, tipping is expected but the amount is not clearly specified. The Turkish tourism industry needs to explain this to travelers. I tipped the driver but he would not accept my tip because it was too little. I had clearly insulted him. Which made me feel awful. The whole tipping culture is too much and makes me not want to return to Turkey."
