"An excellent option for a quick overnighter while travelling up or down the country. Room was clean and beds comfortable. The bar / restaurant area looked perfectly clean and tidy, although we didn't use it. It is next door to themsim sevices building with multiple eating / snack purchaing ptions too. The services also has electric fast charge points a short walk from reception. Staff that we saw were warm and friendly. "

"Breakfast was Luke warm / not much bread left for toast as I assumed that most items were consumed by an overnight coach tour party staying overnight with earlyish departure. One staff member on duty probably having to cover for restaurant In the room which was ok the only problem was when you empty the wash basin the waste water came up the bath plug hole"

"Great location, free parking and easy walk up to the small town centre and surrounding countryside. Staff were very helpful. Nice old property but a little dull sometimes and lacked character. Clean though. There were issues with water pressure, effecting showers etc. this was explained on arrival, so was not a surprise. Breakfast was unexciting and just ‘okay’ with overcooked scrambled eggs, dry bacon and a pot of beans that was more juice than beans. A comfortable stay despite the quibbles."

"This was a lovely hotel and we had a great stay. We received a very warm welcome on arrival and also a welcome gift which was very well received. The room was great, a good size, clean and well maintained. The grounds were gorgeous. The Manor House is beautiful. The golf course was good and well maintained. The food was good, we had a nice breakfast and paid for lunch in the bar. The hotel has multiple games including table tennis, table football, pool and arcade games, space invaders,...

"First off the staff were lovely and so helpful. The hotel itself could do with more attention to detail - we got a free room upgrade but only because the toilet seat came off in our hands first use. Second room was very spacious but there wete issues - its an old building so we were expecting uneven floors - leaking showers not so much, flickering lights when first switched on. "The bedrooms and halls probably needed to be refurbished 30 years ago. They certainly are long overdue a completely overhaul today. The bathroom was grimy and there was no excuse for not providing a single chair in the room. What was the point in providing even the tired dressing/table desk without one?"
