"The surroundings are beautiful, all vineyards. Know that this is in a pretty isolated area and it requires driving on small two lane mountain roads with some hairpin turns to get here.
We were practically the only guests here during our stay, and had a breakfast spread waiting for us each morning. We had the infinity pool to ourselves. The grounds are great.
The room was kind of fancy looking, but romantic. (Note: glass walls on the bathroom.) Also note, you have to drive at least 15 minutes...

The rooms and common areas are picturesque and should be visited by Arch Digest. Well appointed and furnished to relax the mind.
The staff is top notch. Not too assertive but very attentive and respectful.
The restaurant options have a nice variety from bar to Michelin. This is what you want. A kitchen that can provide delicious bites on the go and the more exquisite dishes...

"Beautiful, comfortable and clean accommodations with a stunning view of the Douro River! Excellent pool overlooking the river and valley. The staff were all so friendly, kind and helpful. It was an absolute delight to stay here, I would highly recommend Quinta da Marka and hope I can make it back there someday! "

Have never experienced customer service like it, everyone went out of their way to help, the team were exceptional.
The room was perfect, extremely well cleaned every day, and the views were amazing too.
We stayed for 4 nights and ate there for 3 of them as the food was so good. Marlena is a wonderful cook.
We absolutely loved our stay, couldn't recommend more highly and can't wait to come back. "

"Exceptional family owned and run property; Luis and Zulmira could not be better hosts. They were warm and engaging tending to any request during the three nights we were there.
Breakfast was excellent, with many choices, and the common areas are well decorated and very comfortable.
The room we had was large, and well laid out with a comfortable chair, desk & writing chair, built in wardrobe, and a balcony.

"Quinta Nova is a beautiful Quinta in spectacular surroundings. It is very comfortable and the service is impeccable - probably the best welcome of any hotel I have ever stayed at. The restaurant was also excellent - with enough choice for 3 fabulous meals even though the menu didn’t change during our 3 night stay. The walking trail around the vineyards is superb and a real highlight of our stay. "

"Beautiful property in the beautiful Douro Valley with a nice pool. There is no winery on site, but it is in the middle of beautiful vineyards. You can go down the road to Pinhao or to St. Eufemia Winery for a tour. Breakfast was great and the staff was very accomodating. Great price for a beautiful stay. The property would benefit from some more outdoor leisure areas to sit peacefully and enjoy the view other than the balcony of your room or the pool/deck. Lenore at the desk was very nice...
