The property is over-pricey, probably it’s New Year’s Eve. I booked a room without private bathroom. The building is not built of concrete but rather wood or bamboo so it’s not soundproof at all. The room is facing the street so I can hear motorcycle roaring over the street all night.

Peter and the staff are fantastic. The main building with individual rooms is great-real charming property. The "hostel" is located with small rooms, group rooms and shared restrooms is another issue. It's tidy and clean. But, the noise is very problematic. The road noise is VERY LOUD dogs from neighboring property barking a great deal. Other guests, with ZERO self awareness, have no issue leaving fans on stomping on the second floor, talking loudly etc. needless to say after an hour my first night I called for an Uber at midnight and ended up driving an hour to Guatemala City because hotels in town were $300 per night. Again, the main hotel is fine, avoid the hostel completely.

This is a very beautiful property, safe and peaceful. However it is important to note that when you book a single room with a shared bathroom you are booking a dorm type of area where beds are very close by, only separated by a tiny bamboo wall and in a very small and limited space. Just enough to put your luggage. This hostel seems to be very new. Despite the small space in the rooms, the washrooms and common areas are very clean. Getting to the property is quite tricky and you share the property with some other people who live in the houses around. (Airbnb style). The staff was very friendly (Lisa and Eric) and helpful. The price was very good for the service received. However make sure to understand that the shared bathroom rooms are small, dark and dorm-style. (young single travelers e.g. backpackers* would love this).

Es difícil que todos los shuttles y transportes lleguen por qué esta fuera de antigua. Es muy seguro pero es difícil acceder a la propiedad si no es en transporte como Uber. Antigua es muy segura y se disfruta caminar pero el lugar está muy lejano. El hostal tiene mucho ruido de la calle en las noches. El personas es muy amable y se merece la mejor calificación pero el lugar puede ser la última opción. Hay muchas más opciones de buen precio más cercanas
