I recently stayed at the Baia Lara Hotel in Antalya, Turkey, and there were both positive and negative aspects of my experience. On the downside, there were numerous issues that impacted the overall quality of my stay. The ice cream man was rude, showers tended to flood, and certain amenities were lacking or of low quality. Additionally, the food selections were disappointing, not catering well to different dietary needs or allergies. Alcoholic drinks were not prepared properly, and the jacuzzi was not hot. The lack of proper communication from the kitchen staff and their rudeness further added to the frustration. Kids were sometimes yelled at, leading to tears, and the resort's responsiveness to complaints was lacking.
Vegetarians faced a lack of food options, and the absence of seating on the beach after sunset was inconvenient. Restaurant reservations were a nightmare, and there were not enough larger tables available. Unpleasant interactions with kitchen staff and issues with cleanliness persisted. Entertainment options for teenagers were limited, with no cinema and subpar dance shows. The water park was more suitable for young children than teenagers, and the 16 disco had its drawbacks.
On the positive side, the cleaning staff was kind and deserved higher compensation. The pasta and ice cream were highlights, and the hamam spa experience was excellent. The beach and pool were enjoyable, offering separate areas to cater to different preferences.
