Very nice in all ways. Very large room woth nice modern furniture and big windows. Greart location with 10-15 min walk to many restaurants. Great breakfast.

modern style of the room, of the lobby :very nice. Everything was very clean. The environment was very comfortable, quiet in a little park of trees. Very peaceful journey here.

Although the Worldhotel Saltanat Almaty states that it provides airport shuttle service for a fee, they failed to respond to my requests. Overall, though, it's a nice place.

Not what we were expecting.
We stayed for 2 nights and were a little disappointed. There were roadworks / workmen outside the hotel, yet the room we were put in was above the noise created by the workmen. The hotel was almost empty, so we should have been put elsewhere. The AC in the room was very noisy, so we had the choice of AC on and not sleep due to the noise, or AC off and not sleep as it was too hot. Breakfast was ok, a selected of hot and cold dishes, fruits, bread, etc. The location was fine for the cable car (10 mins) and approx 30 mins walk from the Zenkov cathedral area.

Beds are quite firm, typical for Asia. The toilet and shower set up are a bit odd but an efficient use of space. Would have been nice if the shower door had been opaque, or if the toilet "box" had a window by the ceiling but alas. Iron and ironing board can be procured by calling the front desk. Complementary water bottles was helpful, as was the kettle for boiling water. Hotel breakfast is good but similar can be found outside for much less.

Wonderful hotel
The hotel was spotless, extremely comfortable and a lovely home away from home. The staff were really helpful. Breakfast was delicious.

Lovely clean hotel, helpful staff with competent English- not so common in Kazakhstan. Also a great included buffet breakfast! Small but useful gym and outdoor gym around the corner if you’re so inclined.

A comfortable and convenient hotel in the centre
The hotel was very comfortable, with a good location for central Almaty. The hotel staff were very friendly and extremely efficient, with the only minor exception being the bar staff (not the ones assigned to the main restaurant, which was fine), who were slow and quite disorganised. Breakfasts were very nice, although lunches/dinners at the restaurant were satisfactory rather than exceptional. Overall, the hotel was good value for money .

Fantastic hotel in the centre of Almaty. My room was outstanding. Great shower, very clean. I will seek this hotel out next time I am in town.

This hotel is ok but has some major deficiencies:- The gymnasium is too small The bathrooms are a little awkward The reception area too small The location is a little hard to find Some staff struggle with English Even though the rooms are quite neat and tidy I would have to honestly say the architect who designed the layout of the hotel common and hotel rooms got it wrong. The place is a little awkward and not very accommodating. It is probably ok for a one night business stay but not for long term holiday stay. Breakfast buffet was very good though and lunch menu/ dinner delightful.

Good, convenient airport layover hotel.
We stayed only one night for a quick layover on our way to Tashkent. The airport pickup the hotel arranged was super convenient, the room was comfortable with everything we needed including nice toiletries. It was an interesting layout with the toilet and shower cubes and the sink outside, but we have no complaints on that. Breakfast wasn't included in the price, but it was good and seemed worth the price we paid. The setting for breakfast was really peaceful so it appeared the area around the hotel was safe and pleasant. Service was adequate. For our situation, it was all about convenience and so we were completely satisfied.

Would stay here next time. Location was super: walk to major attractions inc opera, parks, museums, restaurants. Room was modern clean and comfortable -- will ask for mountain view room. Room 500 has incredible view. Breakfast was Superior and unexpectedly included in Expedia booking. We used ATM in hotel lobby. Staff all friendly with front desk having very good English.

Definitely highs and lows with little in between.
First the highs: the room (junior suite) was spacious and clean. The bathroom was very modern with bath and shower with an interesting teak slat draining floor - very good for not slipping. The bed was comfortable and the feather pillows of good quality. Breakfast is included ONLY if you book directly through the site (NOT EXPEDIA - and they are VERY EXPLICIT ABOUT THIS) and choose the correct plan - it costs 4,000 Tenge per person and has cooked to order eggs. The food quality was very high and definitely worth the cost. There are 5 floors in a relatively quiet downtown setting. During our stay, it was unseasonably warm (25+C) for the time of the year. The air conditioning was turned off and the heat turned on. Needless to say it got excruciatingly hot inside up to 32 C - they eventually turned the cooler back on but the effort was generally ineffective. We were switched to an adjacent room which was slightly cooler. Thankfully, after a few days, it snowed and things were so much better.

Too expensive to get a taxi at the airport, but the hotel had a better deal for shuttling to/from Airport. Dining area and buffet breakfasts were excellent.

I chose this hotel based on other reviewers' comments. The only thing that puzzled me about the comments were those about the "weird" bathroom setup. I found it quite neat! The room was spacious and immaculately kept. The bed was very comfortable. The front desk staff spoke English and were quite helpful. There were many English-language television stations (not that I watched that much TV, but I did check.) I did not try the restaurant, so I can't comment on that. I found two restaurants with English-speaking staff nearby (Traveler's Coffee and Cafe Barabulka.) The main street (Abai) is quite close, and buses run there constantly. There is also a Metro station only a short walk from the hotel on Abai. I highly recommend this hotel for comfort, value and location!

Great Hotel
This hotel is very modern. Great service too. This hotel is rated a 4.6 by past guests. I would rate it 4.2 because it is not a brand new hotel. My guess is that this hotel is six years old. I only rate hotels that are less than two years old over a 4.5. Otherwise, this hotel was prefect. Extremely convenient yet quite location.

Great hotel for 100$. Good location, comfortable. The room is not too big, and the shower is a bit weird in my book - feels like a box. Staff was nice to arrange airport pick-up for ~US$10. One less thing to worry about.

My stay was quite short (just 7 hours), but got very good impression about hotel. Wonderful room, pleasant staff and very good food! Smooth organization of airport transfer (both way). Definitely will stay again during next trip to Almaty

Short stay from 4AM to 11AM next day as I was in transit. Front desk folks efficient friendly and helpful. Room very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was more than adequate. Shuttle service worked great both ways.
