"We had a wonderful experience staying at the Shining Star. Clean room, cleaned plus towels and supplies replenished daily, excellent breakfast buffet. Courteous staff. Also great location, a few minutes walking from most major touristic objectives in Sultanahmet, and a few minutes walking from the airport bus drop off/ pickup. Overall, great budget hotel. "

"Exceptional staff. The manager and staff go out of their way to ensure your stay is personalised and that you feel welcome and at home. They are always on hand to provide their guests with every assistance. Rooms are premium and well maintained. Delicious breakfast. Afternoon tea is a nice gesture. Hotel is in one of Istanbuls most beautiful neighbourhoods and while very central to the main attractions is still quite private with nice shops and restaurants just outside the more hectic tourist...

"The location of the hotel is walking distance from all top attractions. Loved the Rurkish breakfast served on the rooftop with amazing views of Hagia Sophia & the Bosporus. Rooms are small, but well equipped. Will recommend staying there"

"We had a lovely two-night stay at this hotel. It is located at a very central location with friendly people at the front desk. They were very helpful in letting us use the phone for some calls and printing out a document. Clean room with a comfortable bed. We were on the first floor and could hear the trams but were not too loud. Breakfast spread was decent, but some fruit was mouldy on the first day. "

"The hotel staff was extremely hospitable, friendly and nice. They also were a great assistance in arranging a very early transportation from Istanbul hotel ottoman to the airport for a flight to Sofia Bulgaria and did a wonderful job including packing me a lunch since I would miss breakfast that day. I really appreciate the support and I think this is a great place to stay."

"Clean, spacious family room. They put 3 single bed for our kids, along with king bed which worked out perfectly for our family. Modern, clean bathroom, nice daily breakfast and good luggage pickup and drop service. Location was nearby to blue mosque, hagia sofia, grand bazaar. Staff was super courteous."
