"We got to the hotel and there was no one at the réception to Check is in. We had to wait a bit before someone came to take care of us. There was no cold water in the sink faucet nor the shower. It is summer and no one uses hot water only. Terrible experience to shower with boiling water when the temperature outside is about 30 to 35 Celsius."

"We felt welcomed as friends / family at Riad Fez Baraka from start to finish. Absolutely top notch hotel and would stay here again. The staff is so friendly and helpful, the dinner and breakfast are both superb, the room was a palace that is very ornately decorated, and the hammam / massage services are excellent. Very good value for money. Free airport shuttle was a greatly appreciated bonus as well. Can't say enough nice things about this riad and the entire staff. One of the better hotels...

"I grew up in Fes. I know traditional. This is traditional/modern. I like the vibe. It’s not “stenciled” over a normal wall. This is true craftsmanship everywhere. The house can be quiet and one feels awkward speaking out loud. But truly amazing. The shades close and darken the room which was amazing for my jet lag when I needed dark. The hospitality is outstanding. There is street parking. The breakfast is delicious and authentic Moroccan. The room is spacious. It’s not the best sunlight coming...

"What a fabulous stay at this riad, well located on the edge of the medina. The staff was exceptionally helpful especially as we were traveling during Eid and needed some special assistance. Wonderful breakfast and delicious tangine dinner! Fes is a maze and coming back to this beautiful well-appointed riad after busy walkabouts was calm and peaceful. "Be prepared: the riad is in the middle of the Medina with LOTS of winding roads and dead ends. Even with a map you will likely get lost. It also means taxis cannot get to the riad. High pressure to buy dinner as soon as I arrived that turned me off and then again for a tour even though I said I had one booked. No front door key provided so had to knock/ring to get in.
