"The quality of the breakfast was excellent with local quality produce where possible and the staff were helpful and polite. Good onsite private parking. Unfortunately the room was poor, on the second floor in the attic with sloping roof, it felt claustrophobic. The Bed was a small double the tv was small the bathroom was tiny with nowhere to put washbag etc. basically ok as a single but not a double. It was also extremely hot with only a small window for ventilation."

"Didn't have a very good experience at the Golf Hotel & was really disappointed for the money paid. Was given a twin room instead of a deluxe double room (which i'd paid more for). Had arranged for an early check-in with hotel for an extra £20 but this had been forgotten about. Tried to make conversation with the member of staff checking me in but got nothing back. Room had a lovely view of the green but curtains were hanging off rail. The bathroom had an awful smell to it & toilet didn't flush...

We were greeted at the front desk by friendly staff who were very helpful in storing our luggage until our check in time and pointing the way to the bus station so we could explore Hadrian’s Wall that morning.
