"Very cool campground, everything on property is rustic old western and built very well. Bathrooms were very clean and campsites are large and well maintained. Will definitely be coming back and spending more time there as the area has alot of recreational activities available."

"We enjoyed our stay but we were mostly out for hiking, exploring, dining. The hotel design is old time western and I think would be appreciated by kids. Painted wood and wood plank steps and 2nd floor walkway needs a re-do…some planks aren’t flat with others and pose a tripping risk, and are visibly old. The main pool and jacuzzi are closed for repairs, but the RV side for pool/jacuzzi were open. Didn’t try the pool but jacuzzi was pleasant and hot….but was not in great shape (rough to sit on and paint
chipping)but still enjoyable. It all depends on your expectations and budget. The room was very clean and we enjoyed the balcony. Towels were fluffy…not worn out. Keurig coffee was supplied. The mgmt is working on replacing mattresses but ours wasn’t one of the new ones. Quite hard and not comfortable. Request a new mattress room for comfort.
Marilyn at front desk was a gem😍. She was helpful with local info and hiking too. She made sure we knew what was available at hotel. She has great earrings! Ask her where she got them!! "
"I visited the hotel after doing a 77 mile solo backpacking segment on the PCT.
The hotel is super charming. Older but very clean.
The highlight however, is the staff. Wow. Jeff at the front desk was super welcoming and knowledgable and even remembered my name when I dropped back for some beer recommendations.
I would absolutely stay here again."
"The view is very impressive and lodge itself is cozy with large kitchen with some necessities for breakfast.
The reason for I gave 3 stars is the mattress was awful. Soggy and old and really soft. Also the shower is unusable. Old shower head that sprinkles the water all over, but doesn't give a stream. So washing was a nightmare. Also the quality of shampoo and conditioner was really not good"
"The room was very small but fine for two nights. Breakfast is nice, and the staff runs the small space very efficiently. Street parking wasn't a problem. Interesting historic property, and I got a tour after check-in, including the room where Admiral Nimitz stayed and info about descendants of Ulysses S. Grant in town."
