"We had a wonderful stay at Hitgeheim Country Lodge. The road in is a little rough, but as it is an eco reserve, that is to be expected and part of the experience. The reward is the wildlife along the way, and we were lucky enough to encounter some zebras. We chose a room with a private pool, which was absolutely beautiful and made our stay feel extra special. We loved the port provided and enjoyed a delicious Taste of South Africa dinner in the restaurant. A lovely final touch was having our car...

"Schönes und sauberes Zimmer (wir hatten Standard Zimmer gebucht) und sehr schöne Anlage, sehr netter Empfang, reichhaltiges, gutes Frühstück, sehr gute Parkmöglichkeiten. Das Dinner (beide Auswahlen) war für unsern Geschmack nicht so gut. "

"Sehr schöne bungalows, alles gut in Schuss. Gutes Restaurant, nicht die schnellsten aber leckeres Essen. Sehr schöne Anlage. Professionelles Verhalten der Inhaber auch bei Problemen. Gute Lage zum Addo Elephant park. "

"Mooie cottage gunstig gelegen tov Addo Elephant Park. Toegangsweg met ‘gewone’ auto uitdagend bijna 5 km over onverhard met gaten en keien. Uitzicht adembenemend, lieve honden op het terrein maar daar moet je van houden natuurlijk! Spullen wat verouderd maar alles aanwezig."

"Whlle the staff did help and went oout of their way to help us celebrate a special occasion, we were disappointed that it could have been a more of an "African" experience - especially with the dining. We were anticipating that there would have been a lot more of the South African taste in the menus. Unfortunately, the schedule at the camp was so tight, there was not enough down time to actually enjoy the camp itself. It was also disappointing to be presented with a blll with unknown/ hidden...

"Exceptional stay at Camp Figtree - the staff were absolutely outstanding and there was nothing that wasn't anticipated. Meals were superb, game drives were wonderful, nature walk was tremendous, and simply lying around the pool was amazing. Everything was out of this world."
