"Valet parking is nice. The location is convenient to Mayo Clinic and Methodist Hospital. Shopping is close by if you need a break. The staff is generally nice. Body wash was out in the room and Kleenex when we arrived and we had to call down for that. Room temperature control was great. One issue is the noise. Even with a set time that guests should respectful to others and quiet down, it isn’t adhered to. On our second stay, when we called the front desk, they offered to call the police. It would seem much more reasonable to just send security to say “hey, these are the rules, watch your kids and don’t let them run all over with out you up and down halls slamming doors..” Then sent security who was very lax about it- we watched / listened and it was never going to be taken seriously. Some of us are not here for for play and to enjoy the city, we are here with serious medical conditions, or spending hours and days at the hospital with a very sick loved one; in these cases sleep is something needed and coveted. Maybe ask guests the purpose of their stay when booking them and place them on floors that make sense. It seems highly inconsiderate to put someone in a horrible and exhausting situation to deal with the inconsiderate guests when some of us truly just want to sleep. Even with ear plugs, air on, and a fan- the doors and walls are paper thin. I’m not sure we’ll stay again even tho we have many future medical trips. It’s really frustrating."

"Front desk staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The bottles of water at check in were much appreciated as was the hot breakfast. I would have given a 5 star rating if the lighting in the room had been better. It was very dim and dark with the window coverings closed. Maybe switch to LED bulbs? Also, there wasn't a working fan in the bathroom."

"Bed was uncomfortable, couldn’t sleep. I hate when they give you 1 bar of soap and there isn’t a dish. Gross wet soap lying in water. The restaurant attached was awesome though! Food was very good and they had great service. Hotel staff sitting on their butts and doing the bare minimum. "

"Stayed for 4 nights while husband completed appointments at the Mayo Clinic. We didn't eat the breakfast, so not sure how that is. The rooms are good and the underground access to the Mayo Clinic is priceless."

"This was your second time staying here. Our first time we were in a pool side room and it was fine. Our second time thr tub wouldn’t drain. I went to the front desk. The front desk employee was so rude about it. The hot tub wasn’t “hot” and they do not enforce the 15 people in the hot tub rule even though they have staff in there. There were a TON of kids in the hot tub. And the jets didn’t work. "

"The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. A free shuttle to Mayo Clinic stops right outside the front lobby doors, Mayo St. Mary's Hospital is just across the street, and there are several restaurant options in walking distance from the property. The kitchenette in the suite, complementary guest laundry room, Monday thru Thursday light suppers, and daily breakfast make Aspen Suites ideal for longer stays. My only complaint is that it is not a quiet hotel. Hearing people walking around, doors opening/closing loudly, toilets flushing, etc. wasn't conducive to a good night's sleep. I'd recommended bringing a white noise machine to drown it out."

"The room was clean, but small. I've stayed in King suite with kitchenette a few times in the last few months. The rooms on the third floor are smaller than the second floor. Everything is tighter spacing and there is only one lounge chair in the third floor rooms. The second floor rooms have two lounge chairs and more spacing around furniture. The breakfast was virtually nonexistent this time. This is abnormal, but unacceptable. The only hot food option was waffles and pancakes. There were no eggs, meat, etc., no butter, limited milk and yogurt, and no fruit."
