"We really enjoyed our stay at La Capitanna. The view is amazing and so was the food. We had their pizza and the breakfast was great (specifically the bread). Can't say enough good things about the hospitality as well everyone was so nice and we really loved the dogs. They went on a walk with us both days to keep us company. "

"Villa Romana is a stunning property with everything you need to unwind and relax. The staff was all top notch.
The hotel is beautiful from the linens to the furniture and everything in between. The design is high level, feels like you've seen it in the pages of Architectural Digest.
The gardens are INCREDIBLE with birds and wildlife all around. We really enjoyed the infiniti pool and tennis courts. The chef is incredible, and every meal with high quality, healthy and delicious.
The only improvement might be some cleaning/upgrade to the beach area. However, there are miles of beach in either direction, and the water is really warm and lovely.
Far superior hotel to anything else in the area."
"Habitación amplia y limpia. Atención amable y atenta del personal en restaurante y bar de playa.

"Staff is very accommodating. We cannot speak Spanish and this location and the entire region of this area of Peru is very Spanish. The people are very friendly and try so much to help. The property is very clean and extremely well maintained. The rooms are very large and the the beach is perfect. Long walks are possible. Food is good and free breakfast is quite tasty. Marianne and the rest of the staff helped us as best they could but I put most of the blame on us for our language ignorance. "
"Yemaya is a visually appealing boutique hotel with spacious, well-designed rooms that feel calm and relaxing. The private patio was a highlight and added a nice sense of privacy. The beach is beautiful, and the sunsets are truly memorable. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
Sleep comfort could be improved. Exterior lighting combined with the lack of blackout curtains made the room quite bright at night, and the nearby two-lane highway created noticeable noise on busier evenings. Light sleepers may want to bring earplugs.
Service, while friendly, was inconsistent. During several meals, servers brought empty glasses to the table but did not offer or ask about beverages, requiring us to request drinks ourselves. On more than one occasion, drinks arrived only after plates had already been cleared. Breakfast service was also slow—one morning coffee took nearly 20 minutes, and another morning we eventually got it ourselves.
Food quality was generally good but inconsistent. Breakfast lacked variety, and lunch and dinner required ordering several hours in advance, which felt restrictive for a beach vacation. One pasta dish was excellent the first night, but when my partner ordered it again—specifically seeking a repeat of that version—it arrived prepared differently each time.
Beach access was mostly easy, though the closest gate was locked, requiring a short walk. Loungers were provided, but umbrellas would have improved comfort.
Best for a 2-3 night stay."
