Overnight stay

Stopped overnight for early morning Airport flight. Dated, old fashioned decor (1990's) hotel with nothing around it apart from a supermarket next door and train station to Bologna Central. Bed was comfortable, huge bathroom. For a one night stay it served its purpose.

We spent one night at Salute Hotel Group (SHG Hotel Bologna) on our way back to Canada after a week in Dubai. Exhausted, hungry, and desperate to go to sleep, I did a quick hotel search on Expedia and selected SHG because it had connecting rooms and it was close to the airport and train station. SO glad I did. SHG is an old, but charming hotel with an excellent restaurant. The staff are polite, but not friendly but it didn’t bother me. As black Canadians, who have traveled around the world for years, I have learned the nicest, friendliest, people are housekeeping, not reception! I would highly recommend SHG, and when you do add the breakfast option. Lots of healthy choices, fresh and tasty. Worth every penny! Next time I am in Bologna, I'm definitely staying at SHG Hotel Bologna.

The hotel was very clean and tidy. The room was comfortable and ideal for our business trip for three nights. Located in a quiet area on the outskirts of Bologna we travelled into city by taxi (24-35euros) which the hotel called for us.

When I booked the hotel, it was stayed on the add that there was airport transfer service, it turned out there wasn’t. I decided to book this hotel for this reason mainly. So I was very disappointed

Not recommended; old fashioned hotel

Bit old fashioned hotel; looks from the 70s. Location bit crappy with station in the backyard. Broken entrance gates to parking. Big containers of paint behind the hotel (apparently the hotel is full of workers and these workers store there waste behind the hotel) Worst of all is that despite paying with debit card, the hotel remain reservation on the creditcard and does not cancel such at check out; remaining there already for weeks and hotel is not willing/able to remove it per direct
