"Really nice hotel in a superb location just by the Nile. Busy location so it can be a bit noisy on weekend nights but didn’t impact me at all. Found good restaurants and bars close to the hotel, we ate very good breakfast and dinner at the Geidea, Pottery Bar for food, tea and shisha, everything. For an experience like a local try outdoors Poshenki bar. The Maxim Nile Cruise is not far and even went kayaking as it was only a 2 minute walk from us. There’s a Metro supermarket just opposite,...

"Very close to the city centre"

"I had a great stay at Zamalek House Hotel. The location is one of the best thing, right in Zamalek and within walking distance of plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars, and shops. I enjoyed being able to walk around the neighborhood. It’s pretty safe. The room was clean, simple, comfortable, and the hotel was a great base for exploring Cairo. The staff were friendly and helpful. I got a red eye flight, arrived early for the check in, and they helped me to get a room. Overall, Zamalek House...

"Friendly staff, but room didn’t feel very clean. Floors were dirty, there was a leak from the airconditioning vent. There was hair and mould in the bathroom. Not worth it for the price."

"L'hôtel est très bien placé dans un quartier calme, à deux pas du Nil et de sa nouvelle corniche, très agréable pour se promener le soir. La literie est parfaite. Le personnel est adorable et toujours prêt à rendre service."

"Brass Bells provided no information in advance about how to check in. When we arrived at the building, which is a huge apartment tower, there was no signage or any way to find someone to help. We passed a small dark unmarked office, but no one was inside. Eventually, someone from a nearby shop offered to go find someone to help. A young man came after about 5 minutes, who said he was from Brass Bells and took us to the office room we had passed earlier."

"We booked a 2 bedroom unit. First we went to the hotel with our reservation and they told us to go to the next building because it was a Brassbell Zamalek booking. We went to the next building and there was a problem which they resolved by sending us back to the hotel who gave us a 2 bedroom suite that was not renovated with a very old and dirty carpet and a very high bathtub. We requested to be moved, but all they could offer was a one bedroom. We still did not get an explanation as to why our...

"Close to metro in a cozy neighborhood "

"The apartments are bit old and they need major renovation and furniture need to be replaced with something clean and good, sheets, pillows, towels, curtains. … all old and look dirty you ask yourself if it’s safe to use them!!! Stated the bad and now the goods! Good size, Helpful staff, reasonable price, great location, loved the neighbourhood, great cafes and restaurants around, short walk to the Nile and main active area."

"Great location, friendly staff, up-to-date and well-maintained property. No complaints. My favorite was the rainfall showerhead. Haha! Would stay there again."

"Well... I booked for a room on the pool side - more expensive but useful in Cairo if you don't fancy the noise of horns and cars at 3 am... But when I arrived I was in a room on the street side. Discussing with staff was... complicated and I got the room I paid for only the second night. Service is somewhat random. Sometimes very helpful, and trying their best. But then you find that there is no towel in the room. Or that no water was provided on one day... Cannot really blame the staff - it's...

"The room was not like the pictures. It was neglected and wore out. The entire building was in bad shape. The room and surrounding small spaces were cleaned but just outside the building, there was tons of garbage and abandoned buildings. This is a budget stay and beware of your safety. The security was just one very young man in a small guardhouse, "

"Very nice room, and great location. It was very spacious, clean and convenient. However, note finding it isn’t easy. You arrive to the building and it’s not very clear where the entrance is and there’s not really a staff, but instead normally a single hired person to be on standby in the area to actually call the staff to the building to let you in. It’s a very unique situation, but overall once you get in it’s very nice inside. I would make sure to contact Brasbell via WhatsApp beforehand to...

"Spacious and clean rooms and the Nile view is great. The food service is a bit slow. On the day we left there was a pipe burst on a higher floor, it caused a massive flood! A huge amount of water flooded both stairwells and the elevators were shut down. We had to leave for our flight, only one person came up to help after long wait and we took the rest of the stuff ourselves as we had no other options as the worker took forever to come up to take the bags but we understand this wasn’t easy and...
