"We were upgraded to the family room, which was great, the only concern was going up and down the steep staircase having to access the kitchen and bathroom, and there is no TV in the bedroom. Something I did not see mentioned in the reviews I looked at was that the nearest shops are 20km away, in Ysterfontein."

"Very warm welcome and lots of recommendations on places to eat and visit. We had the family suite which was very spacious and good balcony space with Braai area. Overlooking the par 3 golf course. Please note there are dogs at this property, well behaved but if you are not confident with them it might be an issue. Plenty of places to eat a short drive away in town. Thank you. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at Sunbird view. Our 2 little dogs loved the pet friendly accommodation and played on the big lawn most of the day. Lovely outside braai area. The Unit was nice and clean, there was some problems with the bedside lamps, it did not really bother us a lot, we asked the owner to fix it when we left. Nice big fridge freezer. You have to drive to the beach. We will stay there again."

When I arrived at Reception, I thought I had got the wrong place, but I met Ulrich Onaggi the owner who is charming and he directed me to the right place to park, and then we walked across the lawn to the room, which was huge, and could have been a former barn. It has rough stone walls and a very high ceiling. Equipped quirkily, but exceedingly cold. One needs an electric blanket and a heater in the room in order to...

Disappointed that nowhere on the Bella Mia's hotels.com page was it indicated that our accommodation would be a self catering unit which meant that the room got dirty for instance our full dustbin was not emptied"
