Novotel York Centre
Room was clean and staff were nice. Good breakfast selection. Was quite busy over Easter and the kids corner in the lobby is a great idea. We could only book the pool for 30min slots which was the only downside. The walk to the town from the back was much nicer.

The Grand, York
2rd stay at this hotel. Refused upgrade said not available. Had to argue for a 1 1/2 hour late checkout we did get a one hour late( why not give the extra 1/2 hour we asked for. No free parking mentioned. We never ate at this hotel too expensive. The bar is small and difficult to find a seat except ...
