"The good: We were surprised by how quiet it was. There are bars, shops and the seafront very close by but as they are not right on that street, even on a summer Saturday evening it was peaceful. A fan was supplied which was much appreciated as it was an attic room with only a small window. There was a toilet just outside our room (shared bathroom). Check out was by 11am which is generous. The not so great: the hotel and room were tired, the carpets show a lot of wear, the mattresses were...

"Room was okay very basic, beds were lovely and comfortable. Only seen staff member on arrival. Was unable to get in touch with reception on leaving to hand key back so had to leave it in the room. Perfect location for exploring the area x"

"I stayed for one night during the June 2026 heatwave. It was self check in, so no staff on the premises. The building is old, with narrow corridors and stairs. There is no air conditioning. The room I stayed in was like a sauna. I would suggest providing each room with a fan. I stayed in a similar property earlier in the week and the hotel had provided each room with a fan. This is essential in extreme hot weather. I can honestly say this is the worse night I have ever had in a hotel/guest...
