"The bathroom was handicapped equipped and poorly designed. The water in the shower was not contained and thus, it covered the whole floor and took all night to dry. Not only did your feet get wet when you went to the toilet in the middle of the night it also was slipping hazard. The breakfast was not good. The hotel is conveniently located to Kassam Stadium, but not to the main areas of Oxford. There is a convenient bus stop, but busses take 18-30 minutes to go into Oxford."

"It was nice and clean."

"The hotel appears to have had a fresh renovation and the staff weren’t just welcoming but very hospitable as if they were welcoming you into their personal home. The hotel was in an ideal location for us with a very reasonable cost. Ideal because it is slightly away from the main road but close enough to the bus line to take you back and forth to city center and to Magdalen College which is also walkable from the hotel (8-10min). Many eatery options nearby. A couple of things to note; 1. There...

"Room wasn't what I was expecting- I thought I had booked a larger, more updated room. It was okay but not what I pictured. It was clean and big enough for us but needs to be upgraded. Staff had limited hours and I was leaving very early- I tried calling and texting a number they listed but no response- luckily my daughter could hand in the key. Front desk only greeted when we arrived. Would've been nice if he was friendlier. Shower was always hot (tried to get them to fix it but he couldn't do...

"Very friendly staff, & plenty of parking."

"Check-in was easy, had a free parking lot, the room was spacious, comfortable bed, but oldn tacky greenish wall paper."

"Convenient location, access to public transport, clean and nicely decorated room."

"Staff were very accommodating always with a smile."

"Wonderful property, would highly recommend."

"The fact that as a guest paying around £200 a night (which is a lot of money for the general facilities of the hotel) and then you arrive to find that you also have to pay for parking at £10 per day is appalling, and leaves a really bitter taste in your mouth as soon as you have arrived at the property. Needless to say it really tinted our whole stay and I won’t be recommending the hotel to anyone. If you value your hard earned money, don’t stay here."

"Lovely stay, I arrived two hours early and they allowed me to check in early. Clean room and a short picturesque walk over the Thames to the city center"

"John was excellent. This hotel was far better than 4 star ones. It was the highlight of my Oxford trip."

"Great spot with a clean room, nice staff & an excellent breakfast. My second time staying here. Visiting from San Francisco."
