"My stay at Andong Hotel was truly life-changing. Yes, it takes about 30–40 minutes by taxi from the Andong KTX station—but that distance is exactly what makes this place so special. It feels like stepping back in time, into a slower, simpler way of living that’s hard to find anywhere else. The quiet here is something you can actually feel. You wake up to the sounds of birds and roosters, and at night, the soft lighting around the hotel gently guides your way without disturbing the peace. Even the internet comes and goes—but instead of being frustrating, it felt like a reminder to stay present and fully take in the surroundings. Sleeping on the heated floors was one of my favorite parts. I felt my back pain disappear, and in a way, it felt like I was reconnecting with something deeper—like returning to my roots. It reminded me so much of my childhood in Vietnam, staying with my grandparents. I came to Korea to find myself after losing my grandfather in 2025, and this place held space for that journey. Hearing the wind chimes throughout the day brought me comfort—it felt like a quiet reminder that he was still close by. This isn’t a place for nightlife or busy schedules. "Superb hostel! The hosts are really warm and friendly and the book café is great. Our room was really clean and the bathroom was really good size. The water fountains and common areas on each floor are great. Breakfast was tasty and we liked that there was fruit served also. Loved our stay here! "
