"Personnel sympathique et bonne ambiance au pub."

"I have used this hotel four times this last year as a stopover for trips from south Devon to Scotland and overall have been pleased with the facilities and service provided. Meals have been excellent and the rooms comfortable and clean. My only concern has been with the service in the dining room: the staff are all delightfully friendly and welcoming but on each of my visits service has been very slow - it took 40 minutes last night for drinks we’d ordered to arrive and our meals a further 10....

"If anyone is staying you should know there is only a costa coffee or McDonald's for food. Remember to bring some spare tea or coff but there is probably more if requested. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bath needs some attention around the plus as its very rusty. The view was exceptional across the lakes with lots of house martins nesting in the eves."

"We stayed at the Kings Head last weekend and had a lovely time. The pub itself is gorgeous, decorated beautifully, it is cosy and inviting and located in a lovely spot by the stream.Although the actual car park itself was small this was no problem as we parked literally a couple of minutes away on the lane, perfect as it allowed the opportunity to see a tiny red squirrel busy in a nearby tree. The bar was great and the rooms furnished beautifully with lots of lovely little touches to make your...

"Room was compact but comfortable, the bed especially comfortable. Best in room coffee ever! TV was impossible to sort out, HUGE but useless. A leak from toilet cabinet meant floor was wet most of the time, and was reported to manager, I'm sure it'll be fixed for next people. Pub is oozing with atmosphere, food is excellent. Staff are great. Somebody could pick up litter outside once in a while to improve the look."

"A really good location to stop overnight and very happy with the room. Breakfast was delivered in a hamper box outside our room and was rather disappointing. No egg/cold meats option. The main option was oats with fruit. We ordered with banana and strawberry. Tiny amount of strawberry and the banana slices were dried and chewy. But the evening meal was good honest pub grub."
