Everyone was very nice and helpful. We had a
room with balcony on the 3rd floor but because
the hotel is 300 yr old there was no elevator.
We did get help from a staff member to take
the bags up and down. Stayed 2 nights and
ate at their restaurant, both breakfast and dinner
were good. Very small village, train station was close by.
Loved our stay here, such a charming hotel in a beautiful location. Parking on-site & convenient spot to get everywhere. Room was spacious, clean & warm, pack earplugs though as not super soundproofed. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast & restaurant foods were delicious.
Amazing stay at a unique little hotel. The view was spectacular!!! Thank you!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
The staff were friendly and helpful. The accommodations were clean with an authentic feel of a 350 year old establishment. Food was good. Would stay there again.
Stayed for 2 nights and loved everything about this hotel. Quaint and charming with everything you need for a wonderful stay in the Interlaken area.
We had 2 rooms for our family of 4 and did not want to leave.
Fantastic mountain views from bedroom windows.
Enjoyed a meal in the restaurant and had a couple of beers in the bar.
Breakfast was great with everything you needed.
Switzerland is not cheap but this hotel was a fantastic option and not too pricey when compared to others.
Very accommodating!! Excellent service. Definitely will come back with my whole family. Pool sauna and steam bath as soon as we got there!! Love it. Too bad we only stayed for one night. Next time
This was our final stop in Switzerland and our best! The hotel was quaint and charming, the restaurant cheerful with delicious food and tasteful presentation. We could walk to the train station or to the grocery. A wonderful experience.

We spend two nights at the Bear Inn, we got a top floor room which was exceptional because we had a beautiful view of the mountains, the room is spacious but the bathroom is small, this is a vintage building so floors are wood and if you walk you hear the wood cracking, the 105 bus leaves you right next to the hotel or otherwise you can walk 10 minutes to the train station. Breakfast is ok
This is great hotel and offers free breakfast buffet which was probably the best we had in Europe thus far! My only suggestion is it’s time to swap out the pullout couches for real beds in the 4 person rooms. While the twin beds were extremely comfortable, the pull out was not at all but what you’d expect from a pull out.
The staff was amazing and the view in from the top floor room was so beautiful to wake up to
Our stay was overall good. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. It’s easy to get around. Overall, Zürich has nice train system. Appreciate the hotel offering train pass that is good in many locations. Break fast was better than expected.
We had a good size room with a bathtub.
We were upgraded to a balcony with a excellent view of the mountain.
Restaurant options in the area are sparse.
The dinner dining at the hotel is good, but expensive.
The breakfasts are excellent.
Thanks to all the team at Hotel Baren. We had a lovely time. The Silvester party was fun. The food was amazing. Breakfast excellent. Loved our room with a view of the mountains. Lashings of hot water. Good sauna. Many thanks again!
The hotel is a bit out of town but very easy transit using the guest pass provided by the hotel. Hotel itself had some creaky floor boards but was extremely comfortable after a lot of hiking and walking. The bed was the most comfortable bed we’ve had on our trip so far. Bathroom is small but shower was great.
Stayed for 3 nights while visiting the Jungfrau region. The hotel is rustic but super cute! Parking is on site. The staff were very helpful and patient. The included breakfast was lovely and the coffee was great! We opted to purchase the 1/2 board (dinner) and we were very impressed! It was a 3 course meal with several choices (including vegetarian and local dishes) at a very reasonable price. The only negative is the walls are very thin and the people in the rooms next to us were loud. We will definitely be back!
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Bären. The room was clean and very charming with an amazing view. We were there between seasons and most tourist attractions were closed, but the staff in the reception were friendly and gave us tips on activities to do around Interlaken. Through Hotels.com we got the breakfast buffet with the price which was really nice. I would stay here again if I come back to this area!
