The rooms are quite comfortable and the bedding was excellent. Do not judge a book by its cover, while the building looks older, the rooms are quite nice.

The front desk guy was awesome. Checked us in quickly, efficently and a great deal of humour. He is a very hard working young man. We saw him all over the hotel and laundromat, fixing issues, solving problems, and always dealing with guests and clients with respect and humour. Well done!!

For the price, compared to other places in Whitehorse, the destination family hotel is a spectacular bargain. More than that, it's not a bad place to stay quality wise. You're not going to get four star accommodations, but compared to what you spend, I believe that the property more than excels.

24 hr service, which is very convenient. Very friendly staff late night - he even helped carry all my luggage to the room. Convenient location downtown ($ 20 by taxi from airport) While the rooms and decor are quite "dated", everything is very clean - and the price is right. (Cleanliness being more important than style for me) Bed was comfy and room was quiet, so just right after a long day of travel and arriving around midnight. Rooms have a fridge and dining table/chairs Fast food /take out very close by.

Super convenient location to get laundry done, get groceries, enjoy the cinema, check out cute shops, enjoy a walk in beautiful parks and more. The property itself is pretty dingy and has seen better days. Old, grungy linens, hair stuck to shower wall and a really gross shower curtain. Broken lamps with liquid-stained lamp shades. Check-in and check-out was easy. Staff were polite enough.

Property has recently changed owners and name to STOP IN FAMILY HOTEL. It is a decent enough hotel, has all the basic amenities you would need. Fridge, microwave, tv etc. Staff very friendly and working hard to take care of the hotel. Easy walk to Shipyards park and trails along the river. The area around the hotel is a bit transient but we had no issues of any kind.

There was an elevator to the 3rd floor, it was nice to not have to take our stuff up stairs. They advertised air conditioning, but it was centrally set and the room was far too hot for my comfort. The staff was very nice.

The room had a bad odor, possibly animal urine. The toilet tank seem ready to fall over. The place seemed dirty, but everything was so old and worn, it was hard to tell. The staff was nice, but the overheated room caused us not to sleep well.

Very old budget hotel, sheets and towels had stains, shower curtain covered in black mildew stains, kitchenette in the suite had very very limited supplies and no cutlery, dish soap, or sponge to clean anything. Thankfully the worker gave us a cup of dish soap from her own personal supply. The staff was very friendly! FYI there is no breakfast provided here as advertised.

Almost 5 stars

Great room, very clean. I had to make the comfort 4 stars because they do not use a fitted sheet on the mattress. They use a flat sheet and it barely tucks. I wrestled keeping it in place all night long.
