"There was a sewage smell downstairs that seemed to permeate the whole first floor. But everything else was ok. The front desk clerk (young lady with piercings and pink hair) very nice and courteous. Bed was pretty good. "
"Had to request new room due to smell. The rooms are nasty and smelly. I refused to sit or touch most surfaces. Floor was sticky. This property has been rode hard and put up wet. Needs a lot of love to get back on track."
"Hotel was beautiful and well maintained. Room and lobby was very clean. There was a gym that looked great and lots of equipment. We didn’t eat breakfast but I’m sure it would have been good. We didn’t see it until we were leaving today, but there is a cafe right next door. The only thing that could have been cleaner was the carpet in the elevator. Everything else was perfect! I absolutely recommend!"
"I've stayed at this hotel once a year since about 2010 and it has always been a pleasant stay. I have no complaints about the rooms I've stayed in or off the staff. Would stay there again."
Holiday Inn Express & Suites N Waco Area - West by IHG
2/10 Terrible
"Dirty. I wouldn't recommend. When looking at different properties, I went off reviews. It is not clean. The shower was gross and the floors looked like they were never vacuumed. "
"First of all, I had a friend stay with me that arrived before I did, The manager charged my card and gave receipt to her. I was planning on using a different card to pay with at the end of our stay. I was charged for the entire 2 day stay, even tho I had cancelation insurance with Expedia. (on going issue). We got to the hotel late, I washed my face and turned down the covers only to find MULTIPLE hairs on the sheets, crumbs that looked like coffee grounds and one of the pillows had definitely been slept on. I contacted the office immediately and was argued with and told I could change the sheets myself. Also, No hand soap in the bathroom. I went down to get sheets and mngr shoved them thru tiny opening in glass door (lobby is closed off permanently.) she was BEYOD RUDE. Also NO brkfst of any kind- no water, coffee, milk or any condiments. The coffee pot had the most awful grime on the bottom and filter was full. Grounds had been there so long the smell of coffee had dissipated. When I checked out - immediately that nite, she would not talk to me and only waved me off. I am now in process - long one I'm sure, of getting some type of refund from credit card company."
