"We spent 3 nights in the St Ninians flat upstairs. The view across the Clyde was fabulous, possibly better than the downstairs flats. The house is well placed for travelling around the island with bus stops nearby. It was kept very clean and the beds were very comfortable and the heating came on when we needed it. "Basic apartment- lots of work done to make it habitable but the finishing is not great. All appliances works, the bed and mattress was good with clean linen and towels. The area had a pub with people parking on the limited parking slots (reserved for residents). Since I was over the weekend, I could park but if it was a weekday, I would have to park on the main road. No local eateries to walk up to other than the pub which was very busy."

"The hotel was clean and generally in good decorative condition. There was some signs of age and wear and tear in the corridors. The food in the restaurant was excellentl. The bar food not as good quality. The staff were polite courteous and attentive. My main concern was that after being very clear in my booking that I had a physical disabilty I was allocated a bedroom along a corridor with two sets of stairs. "First time booking holiday inn on hotels.com rather than holiday inn app, I thought our room was not as nice as my precious stay's. Also the room was missing the tv remote but I did not tell reception until morning when checking out as we arrived so late at night. The staff did apologise and are all friendly. "
