"I stayed for two nights in the lovely Darwin room. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable and cosy, with everything I needed (hair dryer, iron and ironing board, tea and coffee making facilities, fresh water, toiletries). "The hotel's location was beautiful due to the backdrop of the trees and hills and on the river Severn. Internally the hotel is very traditional with old features, fixtures and fittings. Single glazed windows led to it being cold in some areas, especially our room and creaking floors. Meals and beers were good and staff very helpful and polite. We wouldn't stay again but that's not a reflection on the hotel, it is just us wanting to stay in other hotels in different locations. Fully recommend...

Taxi into Shrewsbury town was £10 and 15 - 20 minutes. The staff at the Riverside Inn are its greatest asset, polite, friendly, knowledgeable bout the local area, made time to chat and had everything you needed for a pleasant stay. "

"This is a very good place to stay. I had a twin rooom ensuite with television. There is a communal kitchen/dinner. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is a Greek Cafe/Restaurant on site. There is free parking and everything in the town is within walking distance."
