"Great experience- unique hotel - staff was excellent for service and provided great area tourist info. The location is great- in a small town, but parking is inside the hotel boundaries. We really enjoyed the terrace with a great view of the Danube- great place to sip and watch the river boats float by. Breakfast was very good as well- made to order items along with buffet items. Although this is a more expensive hotel, it was worth it."

"Great stay, i arrived one day earlier than a planned team building event. The hotel was fast and accomodating to link both room bookings to allow me to stay in the same room. I had troubles with the Apple TV (my fault). The receptionist came right up to help me. A progress is necessary regarding channels and films in non German language. This is the only negative point. The pool is great and heated. The event was well organised with access to coffee machines etc.. throughout, big screen, wifi...

"Stayed 2 nights. Positives: Late arrival (22:30) was accommodated despite reception normally closing at 21:00 — appreciated. Good breakfast. Comfortable beds. Nice views from the property overall. Negatives: Pool access: key card did not work; when raised, staff insisted it did rather than resolving the issue. Room facilities: no tea/coffee, no water provided, and fridge not functioning. Ventilation: no effective ventilation, making the room uncomfortable in warm conditions. Temperature control: central heating still active with no ability to adjust, despite ~24°C outside. Bathroom: bath only, no shower — not practical, particularly for elderly guests. Room quality: no balcony, view onto car park, and overall lack of comfort or atmosphere (minimal décor, dated feel). Room allocation: the room felt like one that is used less frequently, raising questions about consistency in how rooms are assigned (e.g. weekday vs weekend stays). Overall: At ~€240 per night, the experience does not align with a 4-star standard. While higher-category rooms (e.g. suites) may meet expectations, the “standard” rooms fall below the minimum level of quality and comfort expected at this rating. The issue is not luxury—it’s basic functionality and comfort (temperature control, ventilation, working amenities, and responsive service)."
