"I have stayed in most of the hotels on Soi 11 simply to find the one that held the most value for the price and everything in between. For me, Solitaire wins. Rooms are clean, staff is nice (like most thai's are) and the location can't be beat. The only thing I will say is the breakfast buffet can use some work. The juices were watered down since last year when I was here and it just seemed they were trying to save money. The best thing is the omelet and noodle bar. Everything else is just good. "

"We stayed here as a family of four and it was an ideal place to escape the busy Bangkok smog while still being incredibly accessible whenever we wanted to head out. The train station was only a 5-minute walk away, which made getting around very easy. Shops and malls were around a 10–15 minute walk, and there was a 7/11 very close by for quick essentials. The pool area was a real highlight for us. There are two different sized pools, a slide for the kids, and plenty of space around the outside to lounge or eat. It never felt crowded and was perfect for relaxing after busy days out. We ate at the hotel once and the food was delicious – a great selection, including authentic Thai dishes. While prices were what you’d expect for a hotel, it was really enjoyable and well worth it. The staff were ultra-friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Our room was perfect for a family of four and helped us acclimatise quickly to Thai time after our 11-hour flight. It was very spacious, with plenty of room for four people and all our luggage. The room came with all the essentials – iron, hairdryer, towels, fridge, shampoo and soaps – and the air conditioning was powerful, which was much appreciated.
