"Good convenient location on the M40 Breakfast was very good. Staff very friendly."

"Upon booking I received a message from the property saying that check in was between 2-10 pm and to get in contact with them if arriving outside those hours. Below was information on the bar. It said bar/kitchen CLOSED on Mondays. When I arrived on Monday at 4:30 pm, the bar was closed but there was noone to check in and receive the keys from. I understand now that if the bar is closed - there is noone AT ALL in the property, even between 2-10. I had to fish through the internet to find a...

"The Railway Inn is a small hotel, over a pub that closes reasonably early and literally next to the train lines. The barkeep is also the hotel staff and the breakfast cook. She is terrific and lively. My room was on the second floor - spacious with two excellent twin beds, comfortable bedding and kettle, cookies, etc. They would like entry by 22.00 which I did not see in the ad, so I arrived later and she directed me to reach my room, which she had left open. "Absolutely fantastic stay in a lovely cosy pub. Staff could not have been more helpful. The room we stayed in was amazing add to this the fantastic food and atmosphere and it all adds up to a memorable stay. We will be back again."

"Cosy, warm room with very comfortable bed. Fresh milk and a coffee percolator as well as a kettle were a bonus. We enjoyed our stay and would use the pub again if we were in the area. Very attractive pub downstairs."

"A typical English country pub with a friendly aura, professional staff, spotlessly clean and a good array of beers. We stayed one night, the room was on the smaller size but well equipped. Being a pub bed and breakfast you have to accept noise to eleven but thereafter it was so peaceful until morning chorus. The full English breakfast was delicious and the fish and chips the previous night was also of a high standard. Recommendable."
