"I stayed in the dog friendly room which was ok but not great. The carpets were stained and when we first walked in the room we could smell dog it wasn't a fresh smell. There was a half used toilet roll in our bathroom and no fan so it steamed up quite quickly. The room was at the bottom of the beer garden so was very noisy which wasn't that much of a problem. "The meals were excellent both for quality and price, staff very helpful. The bed was comfortable however the windows did not close entirely. It was quite warm so not a major problem for us but the windows needed refurbishment so they be opened or closed easily. The electric shower was very weak. These issues were relatively minor given the pluses of staff, food and comfortable beds"

"We chose it for the spa which was well looked after and in good quality. The room was very tired, soft furnishing were ok but paint and decor was very old as was the bathroom. Food at the linden was adequate but at London prices. We only ate there once."

"This is a little gem of an inn. The drive along the way is picturesque and Otterburn itself is darling. Our host for the Old Post Office was very accommodating. We arrived after the normal check-in time and she was very welcoming. Our room was immaculate and our shower had lots of hot water. Breakfast was excellent, including our coffees (flat white and vanilla latte). We also enjoyed the back patio area with plenty of seating. Definitely recommend this inn!"

"The hotel was in need of a spruce up. Tha bar was a disappointing space, we chose to sit on the terrace. The concierge was very helpful at check in and the bar manager was very helpful and chatty. Our room was one of the lodges. A large space with very comfortable bed but let down by a very spartan bathroom. A waterfall shower only and basically toiletries. Breakfast was served in a beautiful dining room. Good choice and very tasty. Staff good. Unfortunately the chairs we had were badly stained...

"The breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice & you just helped yourself. The dining room was large, open plan & well decorated. The room was a good size & clean, lots of extras such as tea/coffee,biscuits & toiletries for guest use. The staff were friendly & helpful. Unfortunately our room faced the road in front of the hotel & we didn't get a good night's sleep due to boy racers tearing back & forth up the road into the early hours. In addition to this there were groups of lads & lasses...
