We had a great stay here for 3 nights 4 days. The room was spacious and clean with a balcony. Angelo was very nice and helpful, along with the staff. The breakfast was amazing with variety and fresh orange juice. Very nice overall

The property is a nice and cozy place near the sea. The area around was quiet and kids friendly. The host is super friendly and caring. Room was clean and well maintained. The breakfast was good. The host gave us a bag of water and juices for our continuous trip. We stayed there just one night but we would definitely stay more and return again

La Porta del Mare is an absolute gem and we are thrilled to have found it. Everything was arranged efficiently for check in, during our stay and departure. Angelo is a warm, welcoming and delightful host, as is Rosa and her colleagues who provided our continental buffet breakfast each day with charm and delight. The room and property is beautiful; we had a room facing into the lovely garden. A beautiful sandy beach, public and private, is 5 minutes walk. We have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation which has been a highlight during our time in Italy.

Best Hospitality in South Italy

My fiancé and I spent 10 days in South Italy. No where did we find greater hospitality than at La Porta del Mare. Our rental car broke down when we got to Villapiana and while that car company left us stranded, our gracious host, Angelo, was so kind to drive us to a café for lunch and then to the train station so that we could continue on our journey. I would give Angelo 10 stars if that were an option! In addition to their hospitality, the room was very comfortable and relaxing after the stressful evening we had from the car problems. I especially enjoyed sitting on our balcony and reading as it was very quiet and soothing. The property is beautiful, and the breakfast served was tasty!
