"Loved the location of this hotel up in the hills above Pinhao. Wonderful views from our balcony down over the terraced vineyards to the Douro river below. Incredibly quiet and peaceful spot. Also liked the hotel bar. There’s not much going on in Pinhao at night, but the LBV bar has a nice gathering of guests from all over and a good menu of salads, drinks and other light fare. Rooms are small as with just about all new boutique hotels these days, but very clean snd nice."

"Something went wrong and staff did not respond with urgency. They gave the wrong information and did not follow-up with me. Any hotel can pore a glass of wine, make a bedroom clean but when you are traveling certain things need to be dealt with when something goes wrong. And then you can see the quality of the staff. No apologies, nothing."

"Such a beautiful and quiet place! The staff were wonderful and helpful. Supper was delicious local specialties. Breakfast was great with custom eggs and lots of selection. Their wine is excellent! We would totally recommend staying at this small, family run Quinta."

"Wonderful stay. Would stay again."

"Great check in process, got a vineyard tour and tasting included with our stay and the tour guide was awesome! Really enjoyed our balcony view of the river and valley."

"Un hotel boutique con excelentes servicios. La construcción es nueva aunque guarda un estilo clásico. Su personal es muy capacitado y extremadamente amable."

Mr. Amadeu knew that we had trouble with late night food and brought us some available from the kitchen to survive the night. We were very much appreciated. Then for the next 2 days we were very fortunate to get big help from Mr. Vitor during his day shift duty. He helped discussing, negotiating and managing our accident trouble with...

"Casa Dona Édite was a wonderful stop on our trip. The guest house is simply wonderful with beautiful shared spaces, immaculate rooms and a simply breath taking location. Breakfast was delicious with home made items and Persimmon, grown on the property. The owners were warm and inviting, full of excellent recommendations including delicious tapas at a local cafe and a gorgeous walk through the village with their dog as a talented and attentive guide! (When you stay here you MUST walk to the trees...
