Noisy hotel with a nice view
Large room with a large balcony with an extraordinary view on the bay. Unfortunately the hotel is located next to a road with with heavy and noisy traffic. The walls are thin and the hotel hosted celebrations 2 out of 3 nights with loud music. Every morning we woke up by cleaning entering the room before 8 a.m

Searched for properties in Positano on Expedia. This came up as an option 6 kms away. There is not way to get to positano other than taxi is 1 hr and 120 euro each way. In 5 days to spent over 1000 euro on taxi to go see Almalfi area. The only good thing about this hotel is the view at the pool. It’s a great pool to take the kids. Also zero benefi for exoedia members.

Ankom til hotellet, og mine to forudbetalte værelser (var blevet booket og betalt for 3 måneder siden) var blevet givet til anden side. Jeg havde eller forsøgt ugen forinden at skrive og ringe til hotellet direkte for at få dem til at bekræfte min reservation. Det svarede ikke, så jeg var lidt bekymret ved ferie afrejse. Den bekymring blev så bekræftet.

Prima hotel, eten wat minder
Prima kamers. Het hotel heeft een mooi groot zwembad. Ontbijt is elke dag hetzelfde dus na een paar dagen was ik er wel op uitgekeken.. De lunch en diner kaart zijn ook elke dag het zelfde. Je krijgt hele kleine porties, ik luste met gemak nog wel 3 borden op. Prijs vond ik daardoor nogal prijzig voor wat je kreeg. Gelukkig zitten er wel wat goede eettenten in de buurt van het hotel waar we vaak naartoe zijn gegaan! Tip: Als je bij het hotel naar beneden loopt vind je een leuk eettentje waar je wel normale porties krijgt voor hetzelfde bedrag!

2 Sterne Hotel mit angeschlossener 4 Sterne Disco
Die Lage ist ok. Das Frühstück ist ok. Der Poolbereich ist auch noch ok. Das wars dann, den Familienfeiern bis weit nach Mitternacht machen dem Erholungsaufenthalt komplett zu Nichte. Die Privatpartys laufen natürlich im Poolbereich ab, sodass hier keinerlei Ruhe herrscht! Die Partygäste können selbstverständlich den Pool benutzen. Die Urlauber werden (als zahlende Gäste) ignoriert. Als Antwort auf Beschwerden erfolgt ein einfaches "Sorry". Das war auch das freundlichste was aus den Angestellten herauskam. Alles in Allem kein 4 Sterne Hotel und dazu auch stark in die Jahre gekommen.

Overall a lousy way to treat a guest.
Major Grip: They were over booked for the last day of our stay and asked us would we mind moving hotel; we agreed, thinking that, as we were helping them out, they would put us somewhere as good or better; BOY WERE WE WRONG !! The hotel was rated 4 Star but I don't know how. The first room shown was 45CM longer than the bed and not much more on either side. The next room was not much better but as it was our last day we settled, preferring not to waste any more time arguing. It was also over 300 steps up from Carpark to reception; not for the faint hearted; literally!! I could say more, lots! Overall a lousy way to treat a guest who was doing you a favor !! Other than that: The Moon Valley Hotel Itself is nice enough; Pool looked Good (Didn't use); Nice Views and one or two good restaurants around; but not much else; you have to travel to see anything. Probably a good spot for Tour Groups or if you’re Comfortable Driving in Italy, or just want to sit by a pool. There is a Train within easy walking; but if you have to use the train you are probably better off staying in Sorrento.

Great hotel great staff
Great hotel and staff , rooms were clean, we had a visit from housekeeping each day they bed topped up bathroom supplies and had clean towels each day, In a previous review it said that staff were grumpy, when in fact they weren’t they couldn’t have been more helpful if they tried. Would recommend to anyone .

Superb place to stay to visit Pompeii, Herculaneum, Sorrento, Vesuvius & Capri. About 400m from regular railway service. Incredible views from hotel. Highly recommend.

Wonderful place for rest and recreation.
It was my second stay in Moon Valley, and I really wish to come back here next year. This time I had a room with an incredible see panorama outside (with Vesuvius in background). I used to spent a lot of time near swimming pool. There were always enough place for every one. The staff took really care of us in any situations, helping in a very kindly way. The weather was fantastic and really enjoy to be there, resting and making a lot of trips om my own or in organised group. Thanks to good information and help from the receptions staff everything was easy to plan and complete. I liked the breakfasts very much, but it was possible to have lunch and dinner too.

Somewhere clean to shower and sleep
On arrival at the hotel as a family of 5 we were given 3 rooms on three different floors, not ideal when 1 member was in a room alone. There was minimal breakfast choice. The staff could be less grumpy and more approachable, and weekends seemed to be focused on wedding parties, we were not allowed sun shades up as it blocked wedding guests view of the bay considering it was 29 degrees, hotel guests were told to sit in the shade. Little info on bus/ train times, no sign of a free shuttle bus, so if we wanted to visit restaurants it meant paying horrendous taxi fees or walking and taking your life in your hands with the rude and crazy scooter/car users. Not a place we will be returning to.

Great Hotel with beautiful view
Lovely hotel with brilliant views especially on the sea view side, hotel staff are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. Very well priced and easily accessible to many places on the Sorrento peninsula and Naples less than a hour away. Only downsides of the hotel are the occasional school visits to the hotel which mean a noisy night as the sound travels through the entire hotel when screaming and running down corridors. However the hotel staff are very good at dealing with any noise when it happens and will make sure the rest of your stay is pleasant.

Vista meravigiosa ma il resto da dimenticare!!!
Abbiamo prenotato e pagato due camere quadruple vista mare, abbiamo avuto una quadrupla con bagno disabili e una camera tripla. Visto che siamo ai primi di novembre e cominciava a fare fresco abbiamo cercato di accendere l'aria calda per rendere confortevole la camera ma non funzionava. Abbiamo chiesto al personale ma ci hanno risposto che non era periodo per accendere i riscaldamenti e tutto al più ci avrebbero dato una coperta.... Frigobar vuoto e le camere erano sporche! L'unica cosa positiva degna di nota la meravigliosa vista.

Moderne hotell med mange muligheter.
Vi hadde en fin ferie på dette stedet. Hotellet var for oss helt perfekt - veldig komfortabelt med alt som trengs for å kunne hvile og ha det gøy. Bra beliggenhet i vaker og stor hage med fantastiske utsikter. Fin restaurant og svømme-baseng og alt rent og pent. Muligheter for forskjellige kortere og lengre turer enten organisert eller individuelt. Italia på sitt beste (vi kommer hit tilbake om ett år tror jeg !!!).

Hôtel très bien situé avec vue imprenable
Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits dans cet hôtel. idéalement placé ; vue sur toute la baie de Naples, 10 minutes à pied du train qui vous emmène à Sorrento, Pompéi, Naples, ... Charmant petit restaurant au pied de l'hôtel (Ma que bonta), vraiment pas cher, plat généreux et délicieux. Piscine magnifique (2 bassins pour petits et grands). Seul petit flop : l'insonorisation des chambres, on entend très bien le voisinage et la rue...

Siamo partiti per un weekand a vico equense Io e la mia compagna, la costiera è sempre bella, abbiamo scelto il moon valley pensando che un 4 stelle doveva essere il top, invece è risultato un bleff se dovessi valutarlo io come hotel le stelle le toglierei, possiamo paragonarlo ad una semplice pensione, i soffitti pieni di muffa in tutti gli angoli abbiamo fatto anche delle foto, pulizie quasi sufficiente, colazione scarsissima pessimo albergo da consigliare meglio una pensioncina almeno si spende di meno!!!

Excellent base to travel independently
Being about 400 metres from the train was important - used it for Naples, Sorrento and Pompei. If there was a change of public transport required we used a car. Our room was very clean and newly decorated. Really it was our base for a wonderful holiday so how could we criticise the place. We found the traffic noise of no consequence and with the coach parties in the hotel we ate out every evening in the local town Vico Equense (train back) or Sorrento(train or car). Great experience. Ask in the Restaurants for travel advice - for instance how to travel to Amalfi and beyond. Saga use the hotel which is a good recommendation.

Short Stay at Grand Hotel Moon Valley
Check-in: Smooth, I expected friendlier staff - no big smiles, no little pleasantries. It is nice & clean, average size - 107 rooms, 4 floors. Room: Our Sea View Room views were fantastic! Large bedroom & bathroom. It is true what they say about the towels - never seen any like those before. They looked & felt like tablecloths but were very large and did what you needed them to do. The water didn't drain properly when showering. We had free WiFi in our room. Pool: Two pools, pretty and clean - one for kids. Bring your own towel or pay Front Desk for one - madness!. It closes at 7 p.m. so you won't be able to swim under the stars or relax after a long day trip. Breakfast: Continental breakfast included. I saw more cold cuts than usual, boiled eggs, juice, croissant, bread, cereals, coffee, tea, muffins, sweet breads, typical stuff. I like breakfast so can't say I loved it but it was enough to start my day. Location: Great views but a good distance from Sorrento. If you want nightly entertainment, stay in Sorrento or enjoy the commute:). Walk to the train is single file and approx. 10 minutes. Shuttle service available but not advertised/encouraged. Road is busy and not pleasant to walk back after a long day or at night, uphill on the way back, downhill to the train. Last train from Sorrento @ 9:30 pm and taxi fare is very high even though it's not that far - plan wisely or pay at a premium! Hotel photos on their website are a true representation.
