"Phew where to start: no lift, room smelt like sewer gas. The carpet was stained. The toilet seat didn't fit properly, the shower took ages to get warm. "

"Really enjoyable stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was excellent. Clean and tidy. The hotel is well placed between Ouistreham and Caen making it ideal for visiting the local area. Shops are conveniently situated neaby. Would totally recommend this hotel. "

"The room was very clean but the breakfast was terrible. There was nothing out when we went down. 3 croissants. No bread. We had to ask for it. No apple juice. It was empty. He had to get a new one. No milk. Had to ask. No butter. A fridge was there so you had to look inside for it. We had to pay 10 euros each. We would like to have this reimbursed. Most disappointing as the French was always known for their breakfast."

"Booked for a 3-night stay . Hotel has NO parking at all. You must park in street blocks away. Staff was not very hospitable or knowlegeable.The room was as big as a small closet with a bunkbed over the main bed with barely enough room for a child, let alone a full grown man.Asked several times for refund so we could move along to better accomidations,but the manager was a ghost. Expedia could not even reach this person. Do not book here unless you expect nothing more than a Hostel!"

"The staff at the Brit were extremely welcoming and the hotel room was clean and comfortable. Disappointed we were not able to have a hot drink in the room. Despite there being a kettle and tea/coffee they only provided small shot glasses for drinks which was extremely odd! There was also no fridge in the room which we needed to keep milk for our baby. "

"This is the second time we’ve stayed here when travelling on the Caen ferry and arriving late, and it was lovely. The family rooms are very comfortable and uniquely decorated. Buffet breakfast is easy and quick. There’s a lovely garden for the kids to run around "

"The hotel is a little tired and needs some upgrades. However, the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was disappointing - stale croissants and limited alternatives. Location of the property is excellent although parking in the town is very expensive. The hotel has a couple of parking spaces which cannot be reserved so it’s pot luck if you get one."
