"WARNUNG: Dieses Hotel nicht benutzen, wenn Sie mit einer BMW 1250 GS reisen!!! Das Hotel selbst war sauber und das Personal freundlich genug, aber die Dusche war extrem alt, klein und verschimmelt. Außerdem konnte das Badezimmerfenster nicht geöffnet werden, um zu lüften, da das Waschbecken im Weg war. Es gab zudem keine Möglichkeit, das Fenster für Privatsphäre zu verdecken. "Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt im Bertin. Alles war sehr sauber, unser Zimmer gepflegt und komfortabel, und wir wurden freundlich empfangen. Besonders geschätzt haben wir, dass wir unsere E-Bikes sicher im Keller unterstellen konnten. Ein weiteres Highlight war das wunderbare Frühstücksbuffet mit einer reichhaltigen und liebevoll präsentierten Auswahl."

"Lovely clean room with fresh towels, etc. Modern room and en suite, shower was great, bedding nice cotton sheets. It would be better if it had a fridge. It had a fan, as we were there during a heatwave, and we were thankful for it, though it was still roasting. Very central - ideal for cafes, restaurants, shopping etc. Parking is not available at the property, so we ended up parking some distance from the propy, and obviously had to make sure we got back before the ticket ran out."

"My daughter & I enjoyed the clean room & plentiful self serve breakfast! We were hiking the TMB which they knew nothing about ( or there was a language barrier), so don’t expect any answers re: the trail or luggage transfers. There were many farm animals and dogs around, so you have to be comfortable with seeing dogs playing around and even pigs in the lobby!"

This might be ok for a normal hotel but when the hotel is in the middle of a mountain, only accessible by a 2.5 hour hike (or a tiny train that is on strike - it’s France after all) then it is simply unacceptable to let your guests arrive at the door tired, hungry & thirsty to see a sign that says ‘sorry we’re closed, we tried to contact you’.
