Great for ski-in-out. Decent size room, robes,etc. Room lacked adequate lighting and had NO mirrors except the dark bathroom. Breakfast was good but items in the buffet were not replenished. The head waiter was too prominent in constantly berating his staff. One night we told there were no tables when obviously there were plenty. Shower had good water pressure and ample room.

Olor horrible a cañerías y no rembolsan la noche

El hotel tenía un olor espantoso a cañarías. La recepción del hotel estaba destartalada. El personal desaliñado y nada amable, fue descortés, no reconoció en ningún momento el problema y no se disculpó. I have mixed feelings about our stay at the White Angel Hotel. While the property has many positives, there were also some notable drawbacks. Pros: The hotel is beautifully located in the middle of the mountains, with stunning views from the rooms, dining area, and pool. The property is well maintained, breakfast was very good with a wide variety of options, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. It was also very convenient to rent ski equipment and purchase lift tickets directly at the hotel. Cons: The biggest issue was the check-in process and room arrangements. We booked three rooms with king-size beds for a total of eight travelers. According to Expedia, the rooms accommodate three people, and we planned for my husband and me to share the bed with our 8-year-old daughter, which we’ve done on many trips. However, at check-in we were told the rooms were considered “double” and that three people were not allowed to share a king-size bed. Our friends faced the same issue. We were forced to upgrade to “triple” rooms (king bed plus pullout sofa) at an extra cost of €200 per night per room—€2,000 total. Since it was Christmas Eve, we had no alternative. Pool and spa access is not included and costs €20 per adult and €15 per child per visit, which adds up quickly for families. Lastly, the ski-in/ski-out access is narrow and located on a steep slope, which may be difficult for inexperienced skiers.

This property is over priced. We rented two rooms. In both rooms you could not control the temperature, asked three times and were total yes,yes. But was not fixed. We were in a newly built room and the bathroom fixtures were falling of.

A few important tweaks needed.

I couldn't give it more than 3 stars because of two big issues: 1. the shuttle system is a mess: the schedule isn't followed; when a shuttle fills up it leaves even if that before the scheduled time; although there are two vehicles, only one shuttle is typically active, regardless of need. We ended up waiting for nearly an hour at one time to back up to the hotel because the shuttle left before the scheduled time, and in a loud "conversation" with another group trying to go down the mountain because seating was insufficient. And 2. The level of English is such that a lot of requests and other conversation are not understood. For a high-end property during the height of the ski season, when they are making the most money, these should not be issues. Otherwise, we were very happy with the place.

Fawlty Towers!!

We booked a superior double room for my birthday and paid extra for this and on arrival we were given a standard room with no refund offered and discovered that the hotel doesn't actually have superior rooms so please be aware of this when booking, it is a scam for the hotel to make money. Another way this hotel makes money is by charging hotel guests 12.50 euros each to use the pool/spa. The hotel is brand new so clean, but it turned out to be more like Fawlty Towers when we discovered all the things that didn't work properly ie heating system, hot water, TVs, safes,coffee machines, lights and shower doors that don't close. All these defects were reported to grumpy reception staff and not resolved during our 3 night stay. The hotel is too far from the village to walk in the winter with snow on the ground, although there is a shuttle bus, but only holds 8 people so quite often you would have to wait for it to come back for us if it was full. A gin and tonic in the hotel bar is 13 euros, but only 5 euros in the village and the portion sizes at dinner are tiny and leave you still hungry.

Mycket trevligt hotell med ski-in-out

Mycket trevlig personal speciellt i receptionen. Bra frekvens på shuttleservicen ner till byn. Perfekt ski-in-out. Rummen på baksidan har mer källarkänsla då man på lägre våningar inte ser mer än bergssidan utanför fönstret.

The hotel is great and well located. In addition, they offer free transfers to the city center and the ski slopes from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm. We left the car in the hotel parking lot €20 per day and took the transfer. It was great since the city is crowded and parking is difficult. In addition, the Hotel is very beautiful and the breakfast is very varied. Definitely recommend.
