The communication was really good - we got all the check in info with plenty of time, and messages during our stay asking if we wanted new towels or a room clean etc. The location was also very good.
The room smelt a LOT like damp. There was an extractor fan and a dehumidifier but they didn't really do anything. The bathroom was also absolutely tiny - I'm a small woman and I struggled.
Overall, an okay stay but incredibly basic and I wouldn't want to stay here for longer than a few nights
My stay was absolutely incredible. Booking a suite here for a solo or couple trip is something you will not regret. I recommend booking the city view suite for an amazing view. Mark especially made my stay memorable, thank you!
Sited in a convenient spot but not too close to the hullaballoo of Republic Street Mandera was an oasis of air conditioned calm in a tempest of people and heat. Only 3 minutes from the fabulous restaurant Guze...and the delights of the Cathedral and the Grand Master's Palace - there is no pejorative thing to say
The location is within walking distance of the center, cozy restaurants and the sea. In short, ideal!
The accommodation is very cozy, clean and beautifully designed with old details, yet with a modern touch. I found the service to be exceptionally neat, with the daily check-in messages and the option to provide feedback. Very hospitable!
In short, a top accommodation to spend your stay in Malta! 🌸
Absolutely loved our stay here.
Location: The property is in walking distance of all major sights to see, but super peaceful and quiet whilst being central.
Room: The rooms are equipped with everything you need, we loved the little touches of complimentary Maltese snacks and drinks. The WiFi is brilliant and works great! Netflix on the tv and other streaming apps.
Bathroom: Equipped with shower gel, hand soap and shampoo. 2x bath towels and 2x hand towels included and bath mat. Water pressure and temperature is great!
Communal areas: There is a kitchen downstairs with a communal area to sit and eat if you wish. Also, some work stations. Very clean and tidy always.
Final thoughts: I would stay here again, there is no feeling of dread if housekeeping will burst through the door because you forgot to put the do not disturb sign up! It’s super safe as your door has a unique number code so no need to carry key card or fob. It’s so relaxed and peaceful and other guests are very respectful. There is signage across the property with handy tips and useful information which we loved. People managing the property are attentive and helpful!
Interesting structure but small spaces, especially the bathroom. Bathroom fixtures should be replaced due to wear. The noise from a manhole cover caused by cars passing on the street is annoying, as is the unpleasant odor in the evenings. However, the structure and location are appealing; a pleasant holiday.
So close to the city centre but tucked away on a quiet side street. Excellent facilities in the communal kitchen including iron. Room was small but had everything I needed - perfect if you’re out and about all day like me. Excellent value for money.
A really well thought out conversion of a period house to make a very comfortable place to stay while in Valletta. Very welcoming and as a guest you have all the modern amenities you would need. Help and information always on hand. Safe and secure and a great location at rhe bottom of the hill, for the city centre and the main bus station and the ferry ports.
Great property, could use a minor safety improvemt
We had a good stay with excellent service. The property has beautiful decor. However, I would suggest adding grip tape and perhaps a motion-activated light on the marble terrace step for safety. Unfortunately, I slipped on it and almost severely injured myself—I hit the side of my back on the edge of the step. It could have been much worse had I landed on my spine or hit my head.
Lovely stay in the little hotel room with the balcony. We arrived from the airport using public transport and left using a taxi and in both cases the journey was easy, even with our suitcase. Valletta is so compact as a city so for the days when we stayed in the city we often popped back to the room to make use of the filtered water facilities and AC. The AC unit worked well and meant that we were very comfortable in the room. Wifi was good and free espresso from the kitchen in the morning was a nice touch. The room was small, as I said, but had everything we needed (even fold-away storage and clothes hangers) and was nice and cosy. The TV came with Netflix, Youtube, and amazon prime so we watched some movies in the night too :)
Staff messaged me to ask what times we wanted room cleaning/new towels and it was easy to contact them on whatsapp even though there is no in-person reception.
They sent a LOT of messages but the process wasn't efficient. Upon arrival, I was communicating via texts about an early check in. While they were quick to arrange it, they let me know by email rather than text resulting in me not getting the message until 3 hours later.
Property: clean and well maintained but calling 2A a suite is a gross misrepresentation. Every picture was taken with a well placed, wide angle camera as the room was NOT a SUITE - it was TINY. It only has a double bed and I still have to squeeze to get around the end. The advertised wardrobe was a rod across one corner of the room. The bathroom is even smaller, and is a partial 'wet room' as the sink is in the shower. If you are traveling with someone, taking a shower means the other person can't access the sink. And, if you take a shower, you then have to dry the floor to use the sink. The toilet is so close to the opposite wall, you have to squeeze around it to get to the shower and, if you're over 6 feet tall, sit sideways, with the door open to accommodate your legs. The 'city view' turns out to be the wall of the building across the street, although it you lean way out, you can get a nice glimpse of the dome of a nearby church.
Lastly, they have created a dorm atmosphere for the entire property - including posting "Bathroom Rules" on the wall across from the toilet.
During this trip we stayed in 5 hotels - sadly, this was the most expensive and, by far, the smallest. Would not go back
