Awesome environment

These apartments are in an amazing, beautiful area with awesome scenery surrounding it. The woman who runs the facility is very knowledgeable and kind and helpful. She loves her job and is an expert at her duties and the business is lucky to have her taking care of the units. My favorite part was walking each night about an eighth of a mile to a wonderful restaurant for dinner, the only close place nearby. :-) And, it's close to public transportation which I was relying on

Het is een mooie accommodatie we waren wel even verrast dat ze aan het verbouwen waren voor ons raam. Verder was de woonkamer erg klein en de indeling anders dan verwacht. Daarentegen waren de slaapkamer prima en de bedden lagen heerlijk. De keuken was ook van alles voorzien. Alles was zeer schoon en bij de balie waren ze erg behulpzaam. We zij voor de verbouwing voor ons raam gecompenseerd met een dagelijks heerlijk ontbijt. (Gelukkig waren de werkzaamheden wel stilgelegd en was het uitzicht alleen wat ons belemmerde. Al met al hebben we een heerlijk verblijf gehad.

Komfortables Appartmenthotel der höheren Kategorie

Als Paar waren wir zwar nur in der kleinsten Variante der angebotenen Studios, aber auch das bot sehr guten Komfort. Saubere, sehr appetitliche Betten mit relativ straffen Matratzen, eine Terasse, die zum Sonnenbaden einlädt, ein normales Bad und eine moderne Küche machen den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm. Negativ zu erwähnen sind höchstens der schwer zu bedienende Herd (mit Touchfeld) und die sehr merkwürdig zu bedienende Mikrowelle (defekt?). Hier wäre etwas einfacher wohl besser gewesen, nicht jeder möchte zuvor einen Software-Lehrgang abschließen um etwas kochen zu können. Auch die Ausstattung mit Geschir und Töpfen ist noch etwas verbesserungswürdig, speziell wenn man mehr machen möchte als einen Topf Nudeln. Geschirrspüler (45 cm) und Kühlschrank funktionieren wie gewohnt. Noch ein Hinweis: Für einen Marsch an den Pragser Wildsee direkt vom Hotel sollte man ein erfahrener Berggänger sein. Die Tour geht über 1.200 m Aufstieg zur Brunst Alm zunächst auf über 2.200 m, dann 600 m Abstieg zum See. Die Alternative geht eben über einen Radweg, am Staussee vorbei nach Welsberg, dann langsamer Aufstieg über Prags und Schmieden hinauf zum See. Das sind 20 km Strecke, zumeist auf Asphalt, der Aufstieg am Ende (500 Höhenmeter) zieht dann endgültig die letzten Reserven aus den Muskeln. Ungeübten Wanderern ist dann besser der (kostenlose) Zug von Olang nach Welsberg zu empfehlen, und Aufstieg von dort (ca. 12 km), oder erst mit Zug und Bus hinauf zum See, und dann von dort heimlaufen.

Vacanze nel verde

Ho soggiornato presso questo hotel e devo dire che ho trovato una gentilezza fuori dal normale!!! Personale alla reception molto gentile e disponibile, una camera che definirla camera è un disprezzo!!! Grandissima, con un bel tavolo per 6 persone, una bella cucce due bagni oltre ad un grandissimo terrazzo abitabile. Il massimo con il centro benessere a nostra disposizione con bagno turco sauna e una bella iacuzzi gigante !!!! Buono il prezzo per queso hotel consigliatissimo !!!

Great base for the Dolomites - summer review

Very friendly hotel in a lovely village.. Apartments- let them know if you want to cook with the kitchen. Village is quite small but relatively close to train tation and sports ground with open air swimming pool. A car or bike would be very useful.

Der Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm.Ich hatte Geburtstag und bekam eine Flasche Wein. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber. Die Servicequalität war sehr gut.Die Lage ist sehr gut.

Familiäres Hotel mit Extras

Das Hotel ist zentral gelegen und bietet den Gästen alles was sie benötigen. Der SPA Bereich ist sehr gemütlich und bietet viel Erholung. Das angebotene Frühstück ist sehr abwechslungsreich und lecker. Die Bedienung dort sowie auch das restliche Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. In der Tiefgarage oder vor der Tür steht das Auto sehr gut. Die Appartements sind groß, sauber und schön eingerichtet. Der Balkon ist ebenfalls großzügig und mit dem Blick auf die Berge sehr schön. Wir würden dort jederzeit wieder einkehren.

TUTTO PERFETTO!!

Abbiamo alloggiato c/o l'Apparthotel Winklwiese perché il mio compagno doveva partecipare alla Dolomiti Superbike. Una sola parola definisce il ns soggiorno: PERFETTO!! Sicuramente ci torneremo!! Consigliatissimo!!

Pragtfuld beliggenhed,

Et skønt sted med fantastisk udsigt. Godt udgangspunkt for ture til både naturen og hyggelige byer. Naturstier for vandring og cykling lige uden for døren. Dejlig komfortabel lejlighed med godet køkken, badeværelse og en skøn altan. Sauna, SPA, motionsrum og bordtennis blev brugt flittigt. OK supermarkeder i den lille hyggelige by. Og lige et tip - den nærliggende lidt større by Brunico har gode forretninger, gode spisesteder og historiske steder.

Peaceful & quiet, excellent value

We had only one night here in late September 2013. The room was lovely with a well-equipped kitchenette and nice bath. Staff was friendly and helpful. We cooked our own breakfasts as the 11 Euros charge each seemed a bit steep. Our only other quibble was the lack of free WiFi, it was paid all the way. The Winklwiese is at the southern edge of the village and very handy to numerous walking trails in the nearby mountains. The hotel provides free maps which take some liberties with reality, and it is worth walking the 1.5 km into town to get the comprehensive free trail map from the Tourist Info office.
