"Absolutely beautiful place to spend 5 days. Utterly clean, great food, cold drinks, very very cheap, free kayaks and paddle boards, good shower, friendly dogs, interesting wildlife, really friendly staff, loads of interesting places to sit and lay down in the communal area, can walk quite far out into the Indian ocean when the tide is out and it faces west so the view of the sun setting each evening is spectacular. I'll give it a 14 out of 10!!! "

"I paid circa $50 for one night here on a work trip. For that price I think it was a complete bargain. Location is great, no night clubs / chickens crowing next door so quiet. I didn’t have breakfast there so can’t comment on food (so many choices within a 5-10 min walk). This is not a luxury hotel like a Hyatt or Serena. Instead it’s bursting with Stone Town character, amazing location, nice bed and bathroom with lovely staff. Will stay again and willing to pay a little more. "

"The hotel is very new next to the new stadium sports complex which is one year old. There was some problems with the shower door and safe but the staff quickly moved us to another room. Breakfast and room service were very good. The shower has excellent strong water pressure and air cons work very well. You have to get a taxi into the centre of stone town which will cost you USD15 each way, but it is worth for the convenience of being away from the hustle and bustle - it was peaceful. "

"Wunderschöne Anlage mit sehr netten Personal. Unser Zimmer roch etwas muffig und feucht, aber ansonsten war alles top sauber. Das Essen war gerade zum Abendessen sehr gut, zum Frühstück hätten wir uns etwas mehr Abwechslung gewünscht. Ebenso etwas längere Zeiten zum Frühstücken. Bisher von 7-9Uhr. "Loved the property so much that we stayed twice. Excellent customer service. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were clean and we had no issues while staying here. I would recommend staying here as it is close to the market and local attractions. Wifi was strong and the staff allowed us to leave our luggage for a few hours while we explored the city after check out. "
