"Hotel is beautiful clean and close to Utila dream(ferry) and 15 minutes from airport second time staying here and will again in the future"

"This was a great place to stay right on the beach in the middle of West Bay. Had a good pool and a beautiful beachfront with a lot of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Breakfast buffet was solid and the beach bar/restaurant was pretty good. I’d say the cocktails need a little help. This isn’t a luxury resort, but it’s a great place to stay for the value for sure. My room was set back a little, but was just a two minute walk to be on the beach. I’d stay here again."

"Very convenient location in west end. Nothing fancy but everything we needed. Our room did have a cat odor in it and the bathrooms could use a good grout cleaning. Everything else was clean. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast in the coffee shop was excellent! We would stay here again!"

"I spent my 50th birthday at Puerto Azul. The staff was attentive kind and made my day very special helped. My husband surprise me several times during the day. The staff is very sweet and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable the bed and the pillows were as good as mine at home so I had a very nice rest every night and every morning woke up to the beautiful ocean outside my door. The staff arranged for flowers and a sign wishing me a happy birthday in the morning when I was at breakfast...

"Unfortunately we did not have water for 2 days, and while it may or may not be a maintenance issue, it simply made our stay very uncomfortable as we couldn’t shower, use the washroom, etc. The staff are very courteous and friendly but they operate based on the hotel’s rules/budget so there’s not much more they can do. The floor in the room was filthy and I don’t think it was cleaned/moped once during our stay (showed on our feet after walking barefoot, after coming from beach with clean feet)....

What I really like - across a low traffic road from the beach. it is far enough away from the action to be quite but close enough for quick walk. has a restaurant on site (never ate there) I always do breakfast at Yahongreh a must. Has parking area, next door grocery store, staff always pleasant. its a great place to stay. "
