"The hotel has a refined Japanese flair. The breakfast buffet is delicious. We had several meals in the bar area and found the service to be very poor. The waitress actually brought our bill while we were still eating our main. The hotel is well located but the concierge was never around and the front desk was not helpful regarding restaurant suggestions."

"If you travel to Shirakawa-go and want to experience a truly wonderful Japanese experience, this hotel is for you. The rooms are excellent and super clean. We experienced the private baths from the hot springs and was also great! The dinner was amazing and the town magical. We loved it!"
