Great place to stay for a overnight visit in Lake Toya. 10 mins by car to the downtown area but you will need your own car as it is a bit remote. Nice view of the lake as the hotel is located in the mid-mountain area.
I went there for my friend’s wedding.
Before I arrived Japan, I tried to contact the hotel for picking me up. The only way to reach them is by phone call.
This hotel is far from a train station. I need to get the taxi to get to the hotel. There is no free shuttle on weekends. And if you need a free shuttle to drop you at the train station after checkout , you need to book it in advance.
This is a beautiful property with lake Toya on one side and Yoteii mountain on the other. The rooms are the largest we have seen in Japan with a beautiful sitting area and large bathroom with a huge tub both overlooking Lake Toya! This made for excellent firework viewing from the room for the local festival. They also had a nice common area in the hotel with some tables, coffee, tea and hot water to use.
The location was convenient to drive to Toyaka Onsen town for food, but also to Rusutsu for skiing.
