"What an amazing hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly, our room was large, and very clean, but the real star of the show is the stunning castle itself. There are so many areas to explore. Sitting rooms, the chapel, a pool table room, and the outside pool area is from a fairytale. It’s like going back in time. We felt like royalty. 100% recommended."

"Fortunately our stay was just as a stopover from faro to Lisbon. I wouldn't have wanted to stay much longer. Outside it's badly maintained, it definitely looks better in the picture. The AC was pretty poor."

"Charming building. Loved the bath tub and real bars of soap instead of that goop from plastic containers. Overlooks little park. Easy to park in front of but one way street makes it hard to get out.Very nice staff."

The staff were so helpful and really friendly, nothing was too much trouble. It is in a quiet area near the river but hard to walk anywhere from it. Only a short drive to Alcacer do Sal. "Very modern. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They carried our luggage up the stairs (no elevator). Carolina gave us many good tips about the surroundings and restaurants. Room was extra clean. We were there in summer so AC was very welcome. We each had one suitcase and a backpack which made storage a challenge in the small room. Provided breakfast was freshly prepared and extras could be purchased."
