The Hotel is beautifully decorated and landscaped. The planting on the Terracotta side makes it feel private and luxurious. Staff were great. Really enjoyed the food. However would not do the half board again. I usually like the option to be able to have what you want but the rules were complicated and to spend your €75 pp you had to overeat.

Clearly among the best places to stay in Comporta. Sublime has created a truly tranquil experience (not only a hotel) nested within nature. Beach is nearby and can be reached by car within 10 min or the complementary shuttle.

A fantastic hotel in the countryside, surrounded by beautiful views of a forest of trees, however also close to a magnificent beach.. Best of both worlds!

The Sand Wing is absolutely stunning, and the rooms are to an extremely high standard. Breakfast is also divine. That said, the service really lets the hotel down. For the prices they charge, I expected service to be exceptional, but unfortunately it wasn’t anything special. On top of that, the service charge added to the hotel bill at the end is outrageous. If you’re paying £5,000 for your stay, being charged around another £500 in service fees feels excessive, particularly when the service doesn’t reflect that level of charge. When we arrived, we were given a QR code and a brochure and told to message if there was anything we wanted to arrange. I messaged about a few things and received no response. When I chased it, I was then told that they no longer offered everything that was actually listed in the brochure we had been given. Bizarre, to say the least. Overall, it’s a stunning hotel, but if you’re considering staying, I would strongly recommend booking the brand-new Sand Wing. The hotel has huge potential, but for the prices they’re charging, the service really needs to improve. They need to go above and beyond to make the experience feel genuinely five-star.

Das Personal war super nett, aufmerksam und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Leider war die Unterkunft sehr schwer zu finden. Insgesamt stimmt für uns das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis überhaupt nicht. Für rund 500 € pro Nacht hätten wir deutlich mehr erwartet. Das Zimmer war sehr klein und es gab unglaublich viele Mücken, sodass wir am Ende mit unzähligen Stichen nach Hause gefahren sind. Das Konzept der Unterkunft ist aus unserer Sicht eher auf Ruhe und Entspannung ausgelegt und wirkt fast wie ein Rückzugsort für Künstler oder Erwachsene, die bewusst abschalten möchten. Für Familien mit einem kleinen Kind ist sie unserer Meinung nach eher ungeeignet. Positiv hervorzuheben ist der kostenlose Transfer zum Strand, der etwa 20 Minuten entfernt liegt. Außerdem waren sowohl das Mittag- und Abendessen im Restaurant als auch das Frühstück wirklich sensationell. Was uns ebenfalls aufgefallen ist: Die Atmosphäre unter den Gästen wirkte sehr ernst und wenig herzlich oder fröhlich. Das hat unseren Gesamteindruck zusätzlich etwas getrübt. Für uns war es daher leider kein gelungener Aufenthalt mit einem kleinen Kind. Ich denke, die Unterkunft eignet sich eher für Paare oder Familien mit älteren Kindern.

Confusing when you book which part of the property you’re staying in. It’s now divided across a street and requires inconvenient shuttle transfers. If you’re into a rustic experience and want to visit, I’d highly recommend staying on the original part of the property only, not the new area which has immature landscaping and ugly views over exposed AC units. The pictures are also misleading that this is beachfront- it’s a 10-15 minute drive to the beach. Staff skill sets vary dramatically. Maria on front desk is amazing, but there are also a bunch of ill trained interns in forward facing positions without proper supervision. Breakfast was covered in flies, as was the Sublime Beach club (go to JNCQuoi beach club instead). This honestly doesn’t feel like a 5* hotel. We will not be returning.
