"Friendly and welcoming staff. Unexpected room upgrade upon arrival which was wonderful. If you want charm in a beautiful Highlands locale along the whisky trail, this is it. Dinner was incredibly delicious in the hotel's dining room. Their chef is out of this world. Bar has every whisky known to man ... kidding of course, but they are well stocked and knowledgeable. We stayed one night and wished we had booked a longer visit. It was meant to be a stop on our way out of a two day drive through...
"The bedroom and bathroom were excellent size and nicely decorated. The breakfast was excellent and the host very attentive to guests. The location was ideal to local beaches and Inverness and had a great town with excellent restaurants and shops."
"We enjoyed our stay at The Crossing. The breakfast was very good. The one thing I was surprised about was that our breakfast was not included with our room fee. "The hotel was spotless staff were all outstanding. Food was excellent. One of the best hotels ive stayed in. I highly recommend The Smithson hotel when visiting Inverness. "
"This was a wonderful stay. The hostess was so very kind and helpful. I loved sitting out front and enjoying the beautiful scenery. There are restaurants and shops not too far, but the best part was the walk to the loch!Highly recommend!"

Breakfast was a highlight — a lovely continental spread, made even better by the fresh espresso in the...
