"Great beach and pool here. It was quiet and we had a beachfront unit which I highly recommend. The staff was friendly and helpful but it was a bit off the beaten track. Much slower paced than Diani Beach hotels so it fit our needs. Restaurant was beach front and buffet style. We got to see a sea turtle return to the sea after laying eggs in the sand at night which was really great. "

"The Penthouse is a blissful experience and if you need anything Gilbert will ensure your get it. We asked if he could get us snapper and vegetables for dinner and he organised for it to be delivered and grilled for us by an onsite chief. It was delicious 10/10 and we could continue our holiday without worrying about food. Swahili house is everything we were looking for, Diani beach experience but more peacful without the crowds. Thanks Gilbert

"I enjoyed my 3 night stay at ModernSouthHotel in diani beach that I extended my stay an additional two nights after examining other more expensive properties. Modern South has a nice pool, superb service (thanks Felix, Juma, Lugo,Patrick) from people who care, the rooms are fine (not luxurious but everything you need w plenty of space nice shower water pressure and a great firm bed w nice linens (that amazingly are changed daily!). Also, the beach is a 30 minute walk or an easy 100bob/$1usd...
