"Wonderful staff, enchanting property, excellent food! We loved our stay."

"We stayed at Cerro Lodge on a birding trip. The personnel did not know about any matter related to birds or birding. They had no knowledge about local trails and didn’t have any idea that they should. Service in the restaurant was extremely slow and somewhat limited. The location was wonderful and scarlet macaws were abundant. There was a beautiful view from the restaurant and the pool was lovely. With knowledgeable staff it might have been a wonderful experience."

"Nous y sommes allés pour une escale. Hôtel propre ( il y aurait la possibilité de manger sur place le soir mais nous n’avons pas testé ). L’offre aux alentours à pieds était plutôt fast-food. Nous y étions hors saison et l’hôtel était vide. Petit déjeuner local ou possibilité d’avoir des gaufres. Très bien pour une escale même si peut être un peu cher ."

"Pros: We arrived early because we weren’t sure how long it would take us to get there from the airport and they were able to let us check in early. Very clean room, great little pool (water was really cold which would be fantastic on a really hot day), lots of wildlife (lizards/iguanas, squirrels, birds and butterflies), and very kind, patient and accommodating staff. "Everyone was so helpful. They let us write to the place we were staying. It was a little difficult to find the office when you see the physical sign walk up the path and you’ll see it right there. It was noted. We just didn’t know what we were looking for, but a sweet gentleman came out and found us and let us where we needed to be. Breakfast was very good as was the coffee. "Beautiful and intimate, Vida Mountain is a sanctuary tucked away from the noise of the nearest city. The food is spectacular and provide a wide variety of options for anyone. Bernice is a fabulous person and she runs this resort with great care and attention, while also respecting people’s quiet and solitude. The only challenge was a very bright blue glow from the display on the A/C unit. The pool is small (limited by property size) but nice and clean, and there are food and drink choices right there on the property, though a bit pricey.
