"Wonderful and friendly staff"

"Good quality for the price. Nice location close to Port of Orillia and downtown which are just a few minutes drive away. Although they are in the process of a refresh, the older rooms are of high quality ie solid oak furniture, quite large and have a really nice full kitchenette w granite countertops. The breakfast was nice enough. Good coffee. The pool is quite small so mostly for splashing. A few of the corners/under the chair pillows could use a better vacuum and in need of new pillows, but...

"Had to park in a lot approximately a block away, not a huge deal, as they provided a parking pass. Went for breakfast, there were no plates or eggs. I alerted front desk staff that no plates were available, they said they would look after it. My husband and I waited approximately 5 minutes and still no plates (it was during this time I learned there were also no omelettes). We went back to our room, packed up and checked out. During check out the plates could be seen still sitting in packaging...

"Staff was very friendly and welcoming but the room reeked of smoke and weed. It smelled awful, as if someone had been smoking in there. Would have been a decent room/place to stay hadn’t it smelled so awful."

"You get what you pay for just needed a cheap place to crash for the night I wouldn't pay anymore than I did for the room that's for sure It's a definitely dated hotel in need of renovations and new furnishings"

"The bathroom shower needed some attention. Unfortunately noisy guests talking loudly in the hallway at 3 am woke me up-I always have trouble getting back to sleep But overall we were satisfied with our stay."

"I had a very good and quiet sleep with lots of nice pillows and a very clean bed, as well as a clean room and towels. Checking in was easy with messages arriving in a timely way for how to use the pin to unlock the door. The lamps in the room had outlets to plug in my phone charger and I loved the retro fridge and microwave. The bathroom was spotless and the towels smelled clean and fresh. The only thing I would’ve appreciated is a blow dryer in the bathroom as the one I brought stopped working....

"Everything was great. The staff at check-in were friendly and very helpful. The condo was clean and welcoming. Very we'll equipped. Carriage Ridge is in a beautiful peaceful location. Have been going there for many years and will return in the near future."

"Stayed here on Saturday, July 11, 2026 as we were in town for a concert. Reservation was booked in advance. Upon arrival was notified that the restaurant was closed due to renovations which also extended to the games area (which were both selling features when reserved). Go to our room, it stank of cat urine and cat food. Badly. We put the air conditioner on and went to get our luggage from the car, when we arrived back in the room (Room 241), it stank worse than before. I guess the empty cans...

"Je suis vraiment déçu d’avoir payé pour 2 nuits d’avance sur expedia. Le personnel lors du check-in était incompétent et aucunement à l’écoute des besoins de leurs clients. Quality inn de Barrie c’est vraiment un endroit que je ne conseille pas à personne et surtout pas aux familles en déménagement dans le cadre de leur emploi. Le dévouement n’est pas au rendez-vous, tel qu’ils affiche en toutes lettres dans leur espace d’accueil de l’hôtel."

"There was no one there when we arrived at the motel , then our room wasn’t ready and they asked us to come back in an hour , then once we got the room there were no towels . We asked for towels . They said they were going to bring us towels and they never did . "
