"This hotel is absolutely superb. Room enormous, bed comfortable, well appointed, beautiful decking area and view out of the patio doors across the lake. Staff all very professional and friendly, breakfast pretty good, afternoon tea pretty good. I'd have liked a bit more choice at breakfast as a vegetarian: boiled eggs and marmite, some more vegetables? All a bit greasy. Also more cereal options? Afternoon tea would be better with home made scones! Spa excellent, pool area wonderful, treatments...

"It was exactly what i was looking for an old inn in the country. Having pub attached I was hoping for night life . We were also there mid week. Looked like a lot of locals comes for dinner. Its not completely out of the way but you dont pass I dont think you would pass it on any driveby. Food was good. Large portions. Staff very friendly. Room clean. Single beds. Old skeleton key for room key. Nice touches through out."

"Staff were really friendly, it was a beautiful setting. The rooms was comfortable and quiet, however it would have been useful to have something in the room with the wifi code on it. The route through to the room was grubby and also the entrance door was not closed and there were gaps in it. The conservatory and bar area were lovely but it felt a little unloved. "Cute quick getaway, got upgraded to a larger room which was lovely. Views were amazing. Dinner was great in the 2 rosette restaurant. Pricey but lovely and still decent portion sizes! "It’s not often I give a five-star review but the staff here were exceptional. Genuine, friendly, happy - even the guy in the restaurant that served us a late dinner and then breakfast the following morning. I need some of that positive energy! We only stayed for one night, but thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The bar is really cosy and the breakfast is very generous. We just loved it here. Please don’t change a thing."
