"Pleasant hotel in need of some love. Opposite the beach with a good walk to the main part of town but places to eat and drink nearby. General public bar, restaurant and sitting room in good condition. Our room had lovely sea view with a comfortable bed and clean bathroom, with plenty of hot water. Had comfortable chairs and good curtains which kept the light out but unfortunately both had food stains and were in need of a good clean. Other furniture needed replacing, covered in heat marks from hair straighteners and a wonky unclosing wardrobe. Squeaky floor in room and bathroom but appreciate its an old hotel."

"Lovely place. Clean. Helpful staff. Traditional cooked breakfast was very nice. The breakfast buffet was also good, with excellent granola. Would have liked a separate shower, instead of a combined shower/bath, but that's a minor gripe. I didn't use the spa, so can't comment on that."

"My fiancee, her daughter and I were really happy with our stay at this guest house. It was the first time we'd stayed at a property like this and we were very impressed with the cleanliness, the spaciousness of the room and and the attentiveness of the staff. Breakfast was excellent as others have mentioned. Diane and Chris (if I recall the names correctly!) were very understanding and helpful with regards to my stepdaughter who is autistic - they were happy to help her feel like she was at home. Brilliant value - would definitely stay here again!"

"The property was not a 'cottage' as advertised but a top floor apartment. The property is a detached building split into 2 apartments. Tanglewood is the top apartment and Treetops is the bottom apartment. Tanglewood was a lovely, spacious and clean apartment with everything provided. I had trouble with the key box on arrival but the owner came out immediately to help me and then showed me around the apartment. Plenty of parking on the road outside."

"Fantastic place! The grounds are amazing! We stayed for 2 nights our wedding anniversary in the Gingerbread House. Wonderful! Very spacious and lovely bed! Power shower too! The food here is also amazing as are the staff. Can't do enough for you. Will definitely go again and can't recommend enough!"
